I footage slider - motion made simple
This slider is among the best I've ever used in terms of build quality. It's the easiest slider ive ever used also, the fact that you can just move the camera and save as a key frame is a huge time saver! I've tested both horizontal and vertical slides with an fx3 and it works perfectly. I've also set this up with a spigot and disk as a turn table, again it worked perfectly. The best feature though is that this is one simple contained unit, no wires, controllers etc. For me this is the perfect package

Excellent, outstanding and beyond brilliant
This stunning slider arrives in a substantial easy to recycle cardboard box. A box that's pretty heavy and gives you an happy inkling of what photographic pleasures are contained within. Something that's especially apparent when you open this and come face to face with the case. A well made case that has nice features such as high quality fabric, and ultra smooth zips with little tags to help open and close the bags. An attention to detail that says I'm something special before you even open it. When you do gaze upon this piece of kit it's like an epiphany, the videographic equivalent of finding gold bars in your socks. As well as the slider being one seriously slick, solid bit of specialised bit of tech, the accessories are also rather impressive. Including, a UK mains adapter, quick release plate, adapter kit for DJI RS gimbals, basic manual and a collection of cables. Kit that means this one is literally ready to use without having to scare your wallet by buying more stuff. On a desk or production cart it's fine, especially as it's got adjustable rubber feet and an inbuilt spirit level to keep things nice and straight. But the weight of this, even more so with combined with other kit, means many tripods won't be able to support the weight. So you might want to consider spending on some decently strong tripods to support this. Personally I'm using a K&F Concept 72 which is a professional quality video tripod and one that supports 8kg, which is just enough for this and a DSLR body with a small lens. Though whatever brand you use it's easy to do, because there's 3/8in and 1/4in connection points underneath the slider, along with additional mounting points at both ends. The latter being handy if you want to use extendable arms to help support it. Not that you need to keep this slider level, that's because this can operate at a wide variety of angle, indeed with the right rigging it will even work upside down. So if you want that slow and smooth sliding up a 45 degree angle shot, this one does the job with a twist of your tripod. Plus the multiple mounting points allow you to attach stuff like lights or monitors, which means you can transform this into a mini movie studio in meer minutes. The next issue to think about is how to power it and the makers have included loads of choices here. Indoors you can use the included USB outlet power adapter, outdoors you have the choice to use a Sony NPF970 battery or use a mobile power bank. Though if you use a bank you need to remember your bank needs to supply 60W of power. However the best aspect of this is just how different this is from DIY sliders or manual dollies, for starters it's near silent in use. This one doesn't do sharp stops or jagged motions, with it's inbuilt stabilisation and shake removal, it's smoother than an ice skating polar bear wearing sunglasses. Plus it's not limited to a single left/right axis, instead this amazing device has a panning axis and roll axis unit integrated within the moving carriage. A unit that, even without a DJI RS gimbal, is something that can be precisely controlled and is simple to set up. Just attach a quick release plate to your camera, one that's compatible with a ball head, and mount a ball head onto the slider's quick release plate. Adjust the camera/ball head angle and all is ready to go. Basic operations are also well easy to do, just start it up and as the slider returns to its start position a clear screen lights up. A screen which offers a variety of modes, including video, time-lapse, stop motion, macro, and panorama. Mostly though it's ability to programme multiple keyframes that's simply outstanding. From setting specific positions and pan angles for each keyframe, reverse shots, configurable start delays, defining durations by minutes, seconds or percentage to setting speeds etc, it's all possible with this. And that's just what's built into the machine, if you use the free app you get even more control options. Including face & gesture recog and the rather clever target tracking. And if that wasn't enough if you are lucky enough to own certain models of DJI gimbal it gets even more amazing. That's because this can automatically interface with such gimbals and control them totally seamlessly. But you don't need the latest kit to use this, it's comprehensive, adaptable and versatile enough to work with anything from a secondhand smart phone upwards. Indeed, because I don't have a suitable gimbal (mines just manual) I've been using it with a Muvi X-Lapse timer and an action camera. Something that allows me to easily create sweeping time-lapses. Best of all it's encouraging me to be creative with my older camera kit. Such as playing with the TriggerTrap app, the multi shot mode on a Ricoh C5 compact and for real retro using it with Hi-8 and Mini DV camcorders. Overall ? It's no exaggeration to say this really has put the love back in to my photography, so it's beyond recommended.

Does not work reliably with DJI gimbal.
So this is an impressive slider, well built, ez to operate in the field without an app. It is smooth and the footage looks great. It is designed to work with the DJI Gimbals and unfortunately this was a disaster for me. The footage slider could not supply the gimbal with enough power, so I constantly got messages on the gimbal about that. The slider stopped functioning normally when the gimbal was attached, the touch screen stopped functioning, it wouldn't start or stop the movement. When mounted on the slider, the gimbal has to be in push mode to point it where you want it, but even then the gimbal thinks its unbalanced when you move it and it powers off. The gmbal works great, the slider works great but THEY DO NOT WORK TOGETHER. And this is the main selling point of this slider, it means it can't be the 4 axis gimbal that I spent all this money trying to achieve. I am a pretty experienced filmmaker and I could not resolve these issues. I would go as far as to say that footage shouldn't be advertising these tow items as compatible.

I love this thing. It’s easily one of the smoothest, most thoughtfully designed pieces of gear I’ve added to my setup. The build quality is excellent. Carbon fibre rails, tight tolerances, and a solid feel that gives confidence when you’re moving expensive camera gear across it. Even before powering it on, you can tell it’s built for professionals who care about precision and their equipment. The movement is incredibly smooth. I’ve been using it mostly for product videos and some B-roll shots, and the results are just beautiful, clean, fluid motion that instantly makes footage look more polished. The motor is whisper quiet, which is great if you’re recording audio. It also handles heavier setups surprisingly well, I've run a camera, light, and mic rig on it without any wobble or jitter. The touchscreen control feels responsive, and it’s nice that you can also control everything through the app if you prefer. Setting waypoints is quick, and you can easily tweak the speed or direction on the fly. I’ve also experimented with the time-lapse feature , it’s intuitive and gives some really cinematic movement with minimal setup. I haven’t paired it with a DJI gimbal yet, but I can see how the multi-axis motion would be a dream for complex shots. Even on its own though, it’s extremely capable. The battery life is strong, and the ability to power it via USB-C is a smart touch for longer sessions. Overall, the Nano 2 feels like a serious tool that delivers professional results without being intimidating to use. Whether you’re a content creator, product videographer, or just someone who wants to level up their footage, this slider really adds that cinematic edge. It’s one of those rare tools that makes you want to go out and shoot more.

I make short form content for social media. So I needed a slider that was easy to operate and could take some smooth product shots or interview B roll very quickly. And this iFootage slider does just that. Its easy to setup and even easier to use. The build quality is top notch and the app support is also great. The only complaint I have is that it takes me time to get this set up from Landscape mode to Portrait mode (yes it can do vertical climb as well). So I wish I had 2 of these. Then I could have one setup for 16:9 shots and another for 9:16. Though I had some problems setting this up initially but I contacted their support team and they were very friendly and helpful. They offered me full exchange but the troubleshooting steps that they provided was enough to fix my issue. So I eneded up keeping it. And it was the best decision. Hands down the best purchase I made in 2025.

For the past decade I’ve been using the Edelkrone Slider system along with the various motors and HeadOne for multi-Axis degrees of motion. And the company and the products are great, but a bit pricey. I’ve reached out to them on occasion for support and they have always been helpful. However, I’ll have to be perfectly honest, but sometimes I get disconnection issues between the slider system and the iOS app which can be frustrating because you sometimes have to re-pair multiple components from scratch to the app, then reprogram your movements. This is why I was drawn to the iFootage system. I have a DJI RS4 which I now use with my Nano and the fact I never have to use an app again is a god send. I absolutely love being able to program all movements directly on the slider itself, and the love the fact the programmed movements are retained in memory even after a power cycle. The integration with the RS4 is amazing. Everything is so sleek and packs down super compact after. In Push mode, the hands-on programming is very similar to Edekrone. Very intuitive. Battery life is also excellent. A single NPF-900 series easily lasts and lasts for weeks of off and on use. Granted I’m not running my slider constantly each day. The only wish I have is the ability to program a delay after the very last key frame. Because after you cycle through all key frames, after the last key frame the slider immediately moves back to position A a bit ungracefully as it’s so abrupt. I’ve already asked iFootage support for this enhancement. I hope we see it in the next FW release. I have also reached out to iFootage support on an issue I had and they were amazing to work with. They were very responsive (replied within 24hrs through Amazon chat) and helped me exactly how I hoped a company would. So far, I have nothing but praise for iFootage as a company, and their products.

It's important for you to know that this is the first "slider" I've ever used, I am just an amateur photographer that mostly takes pictures of his family and I'm far from an expert and honestly I haven't used it with a compatible gimbal because I haven't got one BUT you can still do a surprisingly lot of stuff with it even without what appears to be the main selling feature of the dji gimbal integration. I've taken my time over the last couple of weeks to do my best to give you as useful of an impression about it as I can from a noob and distilled what I feel about it down to a few points. The first thing is that it feels built like a tank, I really did expect it to feel fragile as there are a lot of moving parts on rails here but honestly if I were to drop it I don't think I would immediately be concerned that it would break immediately. Second, I was pretty pleased by the amount of things you can do with it even to the point of it you were limited all the way down to just using a phone for the photography it's surprisingly capable of doing cool stuff with just that. I played with doing some stop motion and time lapse style shots with it and it came out really cool and there is no chance I would be able to duplicate without it. You can put the slider on a tripod but my tripod didn't feel heavy duty enough for this, I think you really need a beefy one to be stable enough to get a good clean shot without any shaking or movement. The motor operation is very smooth (again I have no frame of reference here but I was perfectly happy with how smooth videos of pans and zooms came out) and it doesn't make a lot of noise either. The on-device user interface was not difficult for me to intuit without referring to instructions every 5 seconds and I much preferred it to having to keep going back to an app for every single operation (ALSO I would advise against choosing anything that is 100% reliable on an app to begin with as app support in the future for just about anything is not guaranteed and you don't want to end up with a brick just because an app was abandoned). There is just not enough space to mention everything that this thing does, and I encourage you to look for more in depth information elsewhere before buying it, but as a regular Joe just "playing" with the thing, I've been having a lot of fun with it and felt like even for an amateur it was pretty intuitive and easy to get good results from.

Very easy to set up and very smooth with the DJI RS4 gimbal. If using it on a tripod you will need some support on each end to keep it stable.
