Great forge. Great customer service.
This forge is great. Gets to very high temperatures very quickly. Fast and easy to set up. It’s doesn’t seem to like to be operated in the wind (causes the flame to flutter heavily) but there may be a way to fix that with the choke, I just ended up moving it into a shop enclosed on 3 sides. When you’re setting up your forge and the instructions tell you to get the refractory material to a milkshake consistency it does not mean a cookout milkshake consistency. That’s stuff needs to be a little thin. Maybe a slightly melted milkshake. Shipping was very fast. It arrived 5 days before Amazon’s estimated delivery date. Not sure if the seller or UPS deserves the credit for that one, either way I was pleasantly surprised. One of my fire bricks was, however, broken in half in transit. But I emailed the hell forge USA customer service and they offered to ship out a replacement brick immediately. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Couldn't be happier!! I needed a nail...
I had a rolled up poster from 1997 sitting in my closet, you know, those UV reactive ones from Spencer's that have the magic mushrooms on it? I needed to find a way to hang it, but I didnt want to bother with thumb tacks, or nails that may or may not have been reliable to hold this piece of paper on the wall. I had to make something myself. So, I bought this beautifully crafted, USA made dual burner portable slice of hell. It is very much my new favorite toy, because fire. The setup is fantastic, the entry for access is quite nice with it's 'wide mouth', and best of all, IT GETS SUPER HOT! Granted, the fire bricks included did not survive shipping at all, maybe my UPS driver was having a bad day, maybe he needed a Snickers bar, who knows.Luckily I have a stack of fire bricks from my foundry build. Moving forward, fired this angry fire breathing monster up, threw in some old stock steel and made it hot. Put the hot don't.touch.me.it.will.hurt stick on my cheap 55lb boat anchor, beat it with my smackerbob, grunted, AND I MADE A NAIL!!! My poster now hangs up delighfully, knowing that the nail I made with this kick ass HELLS FORGE is of quality. Now my friends want to play with this manly funtoy of chaos.

Good product for the price
I received my forge on time and in good condition. It was easy to assemble and I liked that the instructions also had a note written on the instruction manual which made me feel a bit more of a personal touch from the seller. Because it is lightweight, I set it up on a small wire rolling shelf so I can easily move it from place to place. I have used the forge to make two knives so far and it works great for my purposes. It does take a little practice to get it set so the flame is steady. I noticed during use that the fittings above the forge get hot due to the heat rising. I simply placed a fire brick on top of the forge and it absorbs the majority of the heat so the fittings stay cooler to the touch. I love it so far. The only suggestion I would make to the seller is to consider putting the flame outlets closer together. I find that the items I work on, I end up using one side mostly. I still love it though.

Great forge
Very easy setup and extremely easy to use. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. The only downside is that it is quite small so if you're trying to forge bowls/skillets, it really isn't capable of that. So just keep that in mind. Pleased with this forge, though. Absolutely would recommend this forge!

Great little forge!
My 13 year old son is in love with Forged in Fire. He started making handles for blade blanks last year but was determined to try his hand at forging. He saved up his money for this forge and i ordered it for him. Assembly took 5 minutes and it fired up perfectly on the first try. It's very nearly ready to go out of the box. Fabrication is perfect and the materials are first rate. I ordered a box of firebrick to close up the back and it came with a pair of bricks for the bottom. Within an afternoon, he was able to bang out his first rough blade on an HF anvil. He was extremely proud of himself and I was proud that he set a goal and achieved it. Of course, he doesn't use it unsupervised... However, in the many hours I've sat outside with him as he forged, I've never had any safety concerns with the forge. It runs hot and stable. The inlets and tubing on the top stay cool to the touch.

Amazing forge
This thing ROARS!!!I was very nervous about applying the coating myself, but it was not difficult at all. Highly recommend rubber gloves, as smoothing the coating with my hand gave a better finish than the brush. I also learned that as the mixture begins to set a bit, or if it feels like it kinda sticks to one spot, to just add a slight bit of water to get it to spread around and set better. After letting the coating set, the remainder of the assembly was very simple, and the instructions were easy to follow. There's even a FAQ sheet, that thankfully I did not need. There were also 2 fire bricks included with the forge.I fired the forge up for the first time last night and WOW! I cannot recommend this forge enough. Initially there were sputters, but it was user error as I forgot to open the regulator. After doing so, there were absolutely ZERO issues. The construction is about as solid as it can get. The pieces all fit perfect and were easy to assemble.I am extremely excited to start forging with steel. I'm going to feed some 80CRV2 to this beast in a few days!!!

Great 2 burner forge
Perfect for beginners or advanced blade smiths. Comes with everything but the LP gas. Gets hot and easy to control the flame. Setting the refractory was a chore but easy to do. It's a great forge for the price. It comes with bricks to trap in the heat. I have heated 1/2" blade material in it. Very easy to adjust the burners for optimal heat. I

Easy setup, works great, clear directions
Easy assembly, just follow the directions to the letter. Runs great, easy to adjust to make a stable flame. A 55 gallon steel barrel makes the perfect base for this thing and puts it at a nice working hight, hose is just long enough for this to work. Follow the ridgidizer instructions carefully. Gets plenty hot with full pressure from the propane bottle and regulator. Have not forged with it yet but may update review when I do.
