This is a high viscosity, clear grease that clings well to the metal surface of gears. Cannot really evaluate the dampening properties, I guess that’s a side effect of the adherence power and viscosity. I cleaned the old grease from the gears of an old appliance before applying this, so now there’s the test of time and the risk of ruining the gears if this grease does not deliver. But so far, all good.I like that this comes in three smaller tubes rather than one big container: makes for less waste for people like me, who may use some of this grease once in a blue moon, at large intervals. If the open tube goes bad, there’s less waste as the tube is small.There is no info provided on the formula for this grease, and no safety nor toxicity statement for the materials. Also, no specs. I am reluctant to use this grease as suggested, for miniature and high precision mechanisms, potentiometers and such: there are very specific characteristics for such use, and the absence of any specifications for this grease makes it a risk for ruining expensive stuff. For knobs and larger mechanical gears, these are more tolerant to variations in specs for lubrication, and also stand a better chance of manifesting mishaps early enough for correcting.I would really appreciate a thorough description of the product from the manufacturer, until then my use for this grease is limited as above-mentioned.

Got this to pair with some new replacement rods for a washer repair. Had enough to do all four rods. It is super sticky so make sure to wear surgical gloves.

The washing machine frequently bucks like a bronco during the spin cycle. Online suggested dampening grease. While Threlaco's product has helped, fuller loads still have an issue. I noticed when applying it was not as thick feeling as the existing dampening grease still on the rods and captured in the rod housing. I attributed that to age. The machine is about 8 years old, so I figured the old grease had dried up a bit. I wish this had completely solved the problem as the next solution is to change the dampening rods.

Worked great for fixing our washer. A lot in such little tubes. Just as described.

Great synthetic grease. I use a lot and thought the tubes were large, so keep that in mind when ordering. Other than that they contain nice grease for mechanical things that need it (and lube o-rings).
