solid mouse.
i love the color. i went with this one over the other models because the translucent plastic would match my mecha break keyboard a little better. was it worth the extra money over the regular one? it came with a month of pc game pass which costs 14 bucks. so its worth it just based on that alone. the color is flawless. it looks so good. the dpi settings beyond like the second or third from the bottom are just completely useless. but thats ok thats par for the course for a gaming mouse. the charging dock is pretty sick ngl. it looks so good on the dock and it has a usb port in the dock for the little 2.4 fob. just drop that bad boy in there and it only takes up 1 usb port for charging and connection. very nice. it pairs with my android phone and works with my windows desktop just fine. it is pretty comfy to hold, i enjoy this shape of mouse very much. the polling rate is outrageous. 1000hz is overkill, and this can do way more than that. this thing is just overkill in as many ways as it can be. its really light which im not used to. but ill get used to it. clicking feels weirdly soft and stuff but ill get over it. side buttons are absurdly easy to press accidentally but ill get used to it. im not sure im even gonna use them on this mouse anyway. but i do like the 3 mode connectivity. that gives options and since its rated for 100 million clicks, when the battery eventually goes in a few years, just run it wired. this mouse is a good investment.its my favorite mouse ive used so far.

This mouse is in the house!
This mouse surprised me, I got it for the charging stand and the retro gamer look, and was happy with the way the mouse felt in my hand, being an ambidextrous mouse my lefty family members can also use it effectively, No downloads or drivers needed just works, works great in my games and my work applications, scroll wheel feels smooth and solid. No flex or creaking on the body of the mouse and the clicks feel and sound nice! Great overall device!

Can't go wrong with 8bitdo
8bitdo has continued to expand their desktop PC devices from keyboards to now high performance mice. I already owned the NES-themed version of this peripheral. However, I also use the 8bitdo keyboard and numpads as my daily driver, so getting the matching C64-themed mouse was a no-brainer. It's surprisingly lighter than the NES-themed version, but still features the adjustable DPI settings so that you can really dial in the sensitivity. Connectivity is bluetooth and 2.4 ghz. The wireless dock is adroned with the standard Commodore rainbow decoration, making it much more attractive than the NES version to look at when the mouse is undocked. The materials are high quality. And wireless charging round out the feature set. Can't go wrong with 8bitdo.

Simple and functional mouse, but feels worryingly fragile.
For a wireless mouse, this is pretty decent. The form-factor is alright and its wireless connection is great, plus it has the option to convert the charging dock into the wireless connection hub as well. The programmable side keys are also super useful. From a more nuanced look into its construction though, I find myself having certain issues with it. My chief complaint is that its incredibly light, almost worryingly so. I have some weights from my old mouse that I could glue to the insides, but the provided documentation doesn't really show where I could find those screws if there are any. The main and side mouse buttons are also somewhat fiddily; the primary clicks are just sensitive enough that I tend to accidently input a click while in idle stance, while the side buttons' flush nature make them a bit more involved in depressing the button than I like, even moreso on the off-dominant side buttons. Finally, on a more minor side of things, its a little frustrating that there's no Famicon color scheme for the mouse to go with my keyboard when the Colecovision and Xbox ones have matching ones.Despite all my grievances, I still think this is a really good mouse. Simple but still functional and wire/less functionality for comfort. All my complaints are just from a preferred kinetic feel.

cool mouse, nice aesthetics, good features
works pretty much exactly as you want. haven't had an issue with battery life yet, the dock makes sure you can always easily charge it when out of use making it really easy to use. build quality feels a little bit thin, but not like it'll shatter on you, just that you won't be able to gamer rage on it. i've never really seen the reason for a dpi adjustment button but it has one, you can press it until it feels good and then ignore the button forever. all in all i was a little scared because the shape is abnormal, and the buttons can be inconvenient to press, but it's worked well for what I use it for and in terms of value for money, it has everything I wanted it to and I'm quite satisfied.

The design and dock are so nice.
I love this mouse. Of course the aesthetic is what drew me in. I mostly use an ergonomic shaped mouse, and I am a firm believer that variety is one of the best things you can do for your wrist, so I switch between this and an ergonomic shaped mouse.Having so many DPI settings directly built in to the mouse is great. I've been using this at work and home, since I don't need software to change the sensitivity. The click is kinda loud (I prefer quiet clicks) but they are nice a deep, so they aren't sharp and irritating. The dock is great. USB feeds to the back of it, you plug the dongle into the charging base. Such a good and clever design.I love the feel and sound of the scroll wheel. It's just a solid mouse with some really thoughtful design behind it.

probably good for office use for style but not for gaming
I had to return this due to issues with the sensor skipping and the clicks double clicking. Wired or wireless had the same issue and even updating the firmware didn't solve this. on the heavier side but has a nice symmetrical feel. not a bad price but there is better for cheaper

Fine mouse for the price.
The box arrived in good condition without any damage. The actual mouse itself is pretty nice, albeit a bit small for my enormous hands (although, most people should not have any issue with it. I've been using it every day for the past 2 weeks, and it's a comfortable piece of equipment! The mount is convenient for charging purposes, and the side buttons are NOT difficult to press by any means. Actually, in my experience, I think they're extremely easy to press, thus I simply unmapped them in the 8BitDo custom software. Overall, I would recommend.

Great mouse, lousy quality USB cable...
It's a great mouse if you like retro style and feeling. Though the USB cable that comes with it is bad quality...After not even a month of usage I keep getting USB disconnects frequently! Then after a few seconds it reconnects.Super annoying since it's a wireless mouse and it simply stops working every now and then =\After replacing the USB cable I have not been having any issues every since...

Bought for the looks, kept for the features
great mouse, initially i bought it for the look as im a big fan of retro tech but it ended up being way better then i expected, its very very light which i didn't expect considering how heavy the matching keyboard is but I'm not complaining at all. The mouse looks great and has amazing battery life, I'm yet to run out of it after many hours of non-top use. Mouse is a little on the small side but by no means is it uncomfortable for me. Best part by far is the software and the buttons, the mouse has tons of customization on the 8BitDo app to fine tune to your liking, the 4 extra programable buttons are awesome and the ability to program them to work and functions like copy and paste is great, even better when paired with the ability to have multiple profiles to swap between meaning you can have different setups for work, game, editing, even game to game, great mouse and would highly recommend to anyone that wants a unique but high quality and functional mouse

The best mouse I have used in a long time.
8BitDo have done an amazing job with this mouse. As someone who has used a lot of mice from Logitech G Pro Superlight, G502x, Pulsar's X2 and X2H and the Glorious Model O V1 and V2 and Glorious Forge series. Sometimes you just want something simple and effective and this mouse from 8BitDo does that. Although it may not be the most ergonomic mouse it feels comfortable to use. The side buttons are a little bit odd because they are so small but once you get used to it that problem goes away. The best part of this mouse is the charging dock. The magnets to the base are strong. It has a spot for the 2.4ghz adaptor so you just plug it into the dock and then the included USB C to A cable into your PC and you have both charging and connection in one. It is really well thought out. The fact you can swap between 2.4ghz to Bluetooth makes this mouse even better. As you can use it for your gaming PC and then use the same mouse for when you are working from home. It has done a great job of simplifying my peripherals. In regards to competitive gaming I have not noticed any difference in my first person shooting performance when using the Retro R8 mouse to some of the more competitive focused mice. Would definitely recommend. Also the Xbox theme is the best.
