Instant favorite, I want to put this on all the time!I usually dislike lipgloss, and bought this because I wanted a stain that didn't feel as dry as some do. But the gloss is also fantastic -- it doesn't have that sticky feel, it doesn't attract hair, and it feels so incredibly hydrating from the minute I put it on. It does very slightly feather into my vertical wrinkles around my mouth (they are fairly deep, since I'm nearly fifty and smoked most of my life), but nothing near as much as other glossy lipsticks and glosses, and I have to really examine myself up close to even notice. If I wipe off the gloss after ten minutes to just wear the stain, it doesn't look like it went into those lines at all.The stain lasts me about 8 hours (depending on what I eat -- greasy things will ofc remove it faster), but I honestly want to reapply the gloss at that point anyway. It also comes off evenly -- I haven't had the issue of color staying bright and solid all around my lips, but being gone in the middle.The smell (and taste) is similar to coconut oil -- faint coconut, and very "natural" -- not the cloying fake coconut smell you get in some cosmetics.With its being so hydrating (I feel it work better than most of my lip care products, including the famous LaNeige lip sleeping mask -- and yeah, I tried putting it on before bed, and the glossy look and hydrating feeling were still there the next morning), and so versatile, I think this is about the best value for your money you can get.Small downside: the color swatches don't feel super accurate -- even those where they show all colors on different skin tones. I expected this to be a bit more muted and more pink, and instead this color ended up being bright red, like a true bright red lip, which is a bit less wearable. The stain is fine, but also veers red. I have pale olive skin, and my lips aren't very naturally colored, so any stain definitely shows up bright, and that's fine, but a red lip isn't always the best choice for a daytime look, so I wish the name and the swatches would be a little more accurate. I will be buying more colors, though, cause I love it just that much.

I’m SPUN by how good these stains are! My previous favorite lipsticks were Maybelline Super Stay matte and vinyl lip inks, but they are miiiles behind NYX Lip IV. With every other longwear product I used before, if you didn’t PERFECTLY EXFOLIATE your lips first, they’d cling to every bit of dry skin. If your lips were cracked, you can’t even wear them. They’d just hyper-enhance texture flaws you didn’t even know you had. Patchiness would progressively look chunky and worse all day with every layered touch up. This would be exacerbated even more because others tend to dry out lips. You can’t really fight it with lip gloss or balm either, as that only makes their color wear off faster in the center. That was my biggest insecurity with other lipsticks- I’d have to worry about my pale ghost lips making an uneven, unwelcome appearance halfway through a coffee, like someone suddenly standing up pantless on a Zoom call.That’s why I LOVE Lip IV gloss stain SOOO MUCH. It’s the only thing I’ve ever used that doesn’t look super weird applied over flaky or cracked lips - it actually kind of helps camouflage all that. When the gloss eventually wears off, you’re left with an amazing, even stain.My FAVORITE thing, though, is that if you DO find the glossy part wearing off a bit in the center of your lips after a meal, the naked part isn’t STARK NAKED, because at least the stain blends the two nicely, so you aren’t left looking like a crazy cave witch, armed only with a chonky lip liner, shaky hands, and no mirror. What’s more embarrassing than accidentally exposing that unsettling flaky line of delineation between your confident, red lipped social siren self and your bloodless, naked Gollum hidden identity peeking out because of a dang straw?I love that touch ups look glossy and fresh, not over-layered like gritty old paint (iykyk). Sometimes, if I reapply a bunch all day and don’t wipe it off, the stained color even last me the next day! I also use it as a dewy blush stain on no foundation days. I only wish there were tons more colors, especially a truer, less pink red.100/10 though!!!

I got the berry thirsty color and it is gorgeous! I don’t do dramatic eye makeup so I like to add a pop of berry color to my lips. While the color lasted a long time after eating and drinking, it did rub off little by little. However, my lips never felt dry. It did stain my lips but left an awkward deeper lip liner stain (this may be user error though).Note that the pictures reflect a 7hr period without any reapplication or blotting. I would not recommend this if you are just looking for a stain, but if you’re heart is more set on long-lasting color without reapplications all day, then this a great value for the money!

I love this lip gloss and stain, it’s easily one of my favorite beauty products! The color is super vibrant and stays on forever. When the gloss wears off, it leaves behind a gorgeous pinkish stain (a bit more pink than red), and I always get compliments when I wear it. Just a heads-up: because the pigment is so rich, you have to be really precise with application, if it goes on uneven, you’ll see it once it sets or is wiped off. But honestly, it’s so worth the extra care. The gloss itself is very smooth and hydrating which I love. Absolutely obsessed!
