The product is sturdy and easy to handle. It turns off automatically when the probe is snapped back to the closed position with a click sound that confirms closure. It automatically turns on when the probe is released. There is a tinny button that converts the reading from F to C degrees. The is the only button that the device has. The LCD display is clear red and the digits are large and easy to read. The enclosure for the battery (one battery) is secured by a screw which is an excellent idea for this device, since it reduces the chance of accidentally dropping the battery cover and the battery. This adds sturdiness to the device. It is clearly a well-designed device. I did not yet test the accuracy or the speed of measurements.

Great thermometer, easy to use and read in all light settings; it is really fast and accurate in the temperature readings, and it is easy to clean. The strong magnet to attach to my fridge is also a plus for storage.

This is a nice thermometer! Things to love about it are as follows: -Instant “on” when you pull up the probe. -Your hand is further from the heat source. -FAST readout when probing meat. -Readout flips upright depending on how you hold it. -Appears to be made well, and is very reasonably priced. I absolutely would recommend this thermometer for anyone who cooks meat and want accurate readings for safeties-sake (chicken), or perfectly done streaks.

Love this! It registers the temp. instantly so I don't have to worry about losing too much heat when I open the oven door. It's great that it turns on as soon as you pull out the temperature prong and turns off when you return the prong. I could no longer read the numbers on my little, round thermometer and love that this one is so easy to read. The digital screen runs sideways down the side of the unit which makes it very easy to see when the thermometer is in the food. The fact that the temp readout stays on after you remove it from the meat is a great feature. I have been using it mainly when cooking salmon to make sure it is properly cooked. Great little gadget.
