Although AM5 CPUs don't require contact frames as Intel CPUs do, it doesn't hurt to apply even pressure to the CPU's installation. Additionally, these will help prevent the thermal paste messes of old, where extra paste ends up in the little edges and corners of the AM5 IHS, and will be a pain to clean up later on.I have a few recommendations for installing these:1) Watch the GamersNexus' video on the Intel version, which has a helpful installation demonstration section that is basically similar to the AM5 version.2) Whatever cooler you are using, make sure to have the standoffs installation hardware installed BEFORE removing the original AM5 CPU retention mechanism, ESPECIALLY if you already have the system in the case like me. Otherwise, the AM5 backplate will fall off, and you will have more work ahead of you.Overall, does it's job well, looks cool, and helps with thermal paste cleanup and prevent messes. Highly recommended.

By many reviews this doesn't have the same heat dissipation effects as on intel CPU, but it looks nice and keeps the thermal paste away from getting into those annoying carves when you apply/change paste. Easy install and they give you the key that you need. Fits great, good CNC job, the edges inside are soft and not sharp unlike the outside which is a bit rough but doesn't make a difference.Much cheaper price than thermal grizzly one.

Easy to install. Works great. But can't seem to find any information that would suggest any compatibility with an aio system considering I'm thinking of installing one or how it would affect the installation of one. Other than that it does its job.

very simple to install, great value. works perfectly. if you need to get that little extra as far as cooling goes, this is a good upgrade.

So maybe this cuts a degree or two off CPU temps, I really couldn't say. However, at a sale price it's absolutely worth a pickup as it keeps things tidy and comes with thermal paste so as far as frivolous doo-dads you can throw on a PC this one does have some utility at a reasonable price.

The main reason I really got this was because of thermal heat dissipation that intel CPUs had but after receiving it I found out it was not meant for it but I decided to just install it and really it helps with thermal paste mess and provides even pressure to the CPU. It's not necessary but for the price and for times I usually switch out parts or clean my PC this helps save some time when cleaning the thermal paste off.

It's nicely machined, fits well. There are no english instructions, except for bad pictures that look like they escaped from a fortune cookie factory.This device replaces the motherboard standard CPU frame/clamp. That means you will be unbolting your brand new motherboard's primary, engineered by the MB manufacturer's crack team of eggheads, and replacing it with this 9 dollar part you got from Amazon.As I contemplated and tested the mainboard for any sign of flex (which this part supposedly fixes), I was less sure I really wanted to discard the CPU socket clamp that was warranted with my mainboard. I remain unconvinced there is a problem to solve here. Like all the AM5 board makers were so stupid that it takes a 9 dollar part to fix their hideously incompetent blunder? Uh, no.So, I pitched it. I still give it 4 stars, as it certainly can fulfill its purpose and appears well made, minus any legible instructions.

I’ve installed red one on my 7900x with CM 360 atmos. It made the thermal paste application much less messy as stock application sometimes hard to clean win capacitor area, also it also looks cool. I have seen a drop of only 1-2 degree just because of better mounting mechanism. but I would say 1-2 degree can be even improved just by properly tightening screws in stock mount. I think I just bought it because the Ryzen 7900x temps are so high its just a peace of mind to install this as it cost 0.3% of the complete setup cost. If you care just buy it.
