Glass why didn't I know
I love this thing. It's gorgeous for one + aesthetics are important to me. I love how it performs my word! I can't believe it's such an affordable luxury: I nearly buy 1 for each room. They're very small as in the size of an orange stick but so much nicer, work so much better, do so much more.

Once you try you will keep on using
My daughter recommended when I complained about the quality of my emery boards. I was surprised at the difference and now of course can’t go back to the old ones. These work so much more efficiently and last so much longer.

Works better than other cuticle removal sticks.
I purchased this about 2 years ago, and use it every week for cuticle removal, using it with Blue Star cuticle remover for better effect. No other cuticle removal tool works nearly as well. There are caveats however- this is a round glass rod that can be slippery to hold, and it will roll right off of any flat surface you place it on. I had to buy replacements for this item because of this. A better design could make this good product even better.

Absolutely in love with the cuticle stick.
Started washing my hands a lot more in January — while my general health is better for it, my hands are less so. Got into cuticle and nail care to address some of the issues and wanted items that would be easy to clean. Hadn’t had much luck with metal files and generally dislike the disposable ones.Trimming away skin seemed to only encourage further callousing, so something that’s gentle enough to be used next to or against live tissue while being able to remove . . a hangnail? N e a t .To quote Kenji— Guys, Gals & Non-binary pals: you need this. It files the free nail edge, hard bits of dead tissue that like to snag ( such as hangnails both above the nail fold and lateral ) underneath the free edge where weird bits of painful callous like to build up for me, takes off invisible cuticle that attaches and grows down the nail plate ( cuticle death grip ) and helps keep the proximal nail fold well manicured.Gosh, I know it’s “just” a glass file but it does such a good job in its application. I was using it every single day, for just a few minutes at a time. Followed up with cuticle oil and a lot of my nail and cuticle issues slowly went away, especially with consistency. Fingernails, toenails — my husband’s nails.Notice the “was”? ): The unthinkable happened, and I dropped it last night. Fortunately, it didn’t shatter. However, both ends of the cuticle stick somehow got damaged in the fall. It’s not TECHNICALLY unusable — but each end now has an incredibly sharp edge, and I went from being able to file by feel while doing something else ( like watching a show ) to having to focus a great deal on which portion of the file is in contact with my skin or nail. Huge, huge, hUGE sadness. Will keep using for now, albeit a bit less, until I can replace this one. Most likely will get more than one, because I’m sure I’ll drop it again. Am the butterfingers of the house.Love this funky little dude. Easy to use, clean, store, travel with, etc. Cannot recommend enough. You should get one. And probably another for anyone else in your life that you care about. (:

Works well!
I bought this mostly for use on my toenails. As I’ve aged, the cuticles and skin around my toenails seems to have gotten thicker, dryer, and tougher to push back from the nail - despite moisturizing. The pointed end does a really good job getting along the sides and the tapered end does a great job pushing the cuticle and removing the remnants.I always reserve a 5th star from my reviews until I know how something’s going to hold up. In this case, I’ll be waiting to make sure this doesn’t lose its “grit”. After see so many good reviews, I doubt that will happen. If I drop it? - that’ll be on me😁

Gamechanger.
I just purchased my second one. I have had all kinds of cuticle/nail implements - the stainless steel ones with all shapes, the stone ones and the rubber tipped ones. But the Germanikure cuticle sticks are the best of the lot. The only downside is that they are glass so prone to breaking, as it's inevitable that they roll off surfaces. NOTE TO THEM: make some kind of beveled thing in the middle!I've bought other less expensive ones thru Amazon, but these have the finest finish. I've dropped it twice from counter height onto the stone tile floor and each time, one side chipped. The first time it was the bevel edged side, which had been my favorite, but TIP - you can use another of their glass files to grind off the edge of the chip so it's not so sharp, but still it wasn't the same. I then learned to use the pointed end and it was great, but when Idropped it again, it was this tip that broke off and so it was time to buy another one 8-(
