This book has been very beneficial to my learning experience of SEO. I will continue to buy his books as he continues to share his helpful tools. In today’s digital landscape, SEO and algorithm’s are always evolving. I am trying to practice having a good attitude while making strides towards SEO expertise. I want nothing more than to save SMBs money on Google ads.

I’ll admit: I know nothing about SEO. And I was extremely intimidated by it, thinking you’d need to be a hermit in the digital caves of Mt. Google to even stand a chance. But this book? James completely demystifies the entire process and makes SEO easy enough for even a monkey to understand. The best part? Unlike another book I won’t mention, James ASKS you to Google him and you’ll see he ranks in the top (if not top 5) for “Bay Area SEO Expert” and “San Francisco SEO Expert”. Is there any stronger proof that this guy knows what he’s talking about? And if that isn’t enough, he has a complete set of resources available for download once you buy the book. Worksheets. PDFs. YouTube video tutorials. Articles. On top of example after example after example. Don’t take that to mean the book itself isn’t thorough and complete to stand on its own. Just that if you want more, it’s all there for you to access. Took my time to go through this book and absorb all the information. Used a lot of the resources he shares. And it’s really given me the knowledge and confidence to work on my own site’s SEO. Coupled with a few tools I got from AppSumo’s lifetime deals at the time of this review (Squirrly SEO and Keyword Hero), all that awaits is to put in the work. In short, get this book. Get it now. And if you know someone who wants to learn about SEO (and isn’t in your niche lol) gift it to them… twice.

I read lots of marketing books but Jason McDonald’s books are always my favorite. He is engaging and truthful. This book does a great job of demystifying SEO concepts. I definitely recommend it.

This book is made for people new to SEO, who are looking to accelerate their business or start an SEO agency. Jason explains in easy-to-read text the ins-and-outs of On Page SEO, Off Page SEO, measurement, and much more. Highly recommended

I am a software developer and normally I use tech books as a reference and just skim to get what I need. Jason’s books are different however and I actually enjoy reading his books word for word and they are very informative. I have even re-read chapters. In addition his statements are backed up by real world examples and tests he has performed. Not just theories he has read about like many other tech authors have a habit of doing.
