Excellent in almost every way
I, too, came from an Escort 8500 that had so many false alarms that I even recently got a minor ticket because I guess I just learned to always ignore the stupid thing unless I was on the highway in the country. Anyway, here is my take: Pros: -great false/BSM filtering and allows you adjust the sensitivity of said false alarms; basically you can tell it to only be 40% sensitive to K band so that most electronic doors are ignored. A lot of people might ignore this sensitivity feature, but living in a huge city this is actually really nice. This all translates into a quiet unit that rarely sends false alarms. -smart dark mode does exactly what it says and keeps the unit display black until an alarm occurs; this is actually a great feature if you listen to music loudly because as soon as the display comes on, it catches your eye without needing to hear it, that being said: -it's one of the louder units i've tried on the market -solid mounting bracket/suction cups; my Passport would clank against my windshield -beautiful OLED display Cons: -this is bad engineering to me, but the power plug goes on the DRIVER'S side of the unit; this is super annoying because it just adds more clutter in your line of sight to the road. most units are on the passenger side, and especially if you mount this near your rearview mirror, you can easily hide the cable to the right side behind the mirror. this is a design mistake IMO, but not a deal breaker. -while it is user friendly in that there is probably a setting for anything you want, it's not super easy to learn--there are no instructions in the box, so you have to go to their website. But their website's instructions are somewhat vague, and after I updated firmware the menu selections weren't even ordered the same as their manual says. You just have to spend a little time with it to understand every setting. -i still don't really understand why you have the possibility to select a "user point" so luckily in expert mode you can turn that off; i list this as a con because the first few days when i'd try to increase the volume i'd actually set a user point, which turned into many pointless user points during my drive to work. this would make me hear "user point detected" every time i got in range, which was really, really annoying considering i had inadvertently set about 15 user points in a 5 mile radius lol. like i said, once i figured out how, i was able to erase my user points and turn that feature off entirely. i guess maybe you would normally use those if there was a speed trap along your route, or maybe even something non-radar related like maybe there was a really cool restaurant you went to on a very rare drive, and that alert might jog your memory if you ever make the same trip again? anyway...not something i'll ever use, but it's there. anyway, i'm totally satisfied with my purchase from a standpoint of features. it seems to pick up cops just fine, but time will only tell if it is as good as it seems. so far, no complaints.

Don't think twice...just buy now...Radenso is an amazing product!
Radenso XP Radar & Laser Detector with GPS Lockout and Red Light / Speed Camera Voice Alerts OK....I don't 'normally' do product review on Amazon as usually I am too busy, don't feel like typing, or just overall the product itself performs as I expect. Fast forward to this week...I pulled the trigger on the Radenso XP Radar and Laser Detector for my new M3...Now this is kind of a big deal for me, you see, I have been brainwashed in a belief that if it isn't a V1 or an Escort, then it isn't a legitimate product. That is a bold faced lie. After struggling with false laser alerts in my new BMW constantly with the V1 and Escort 360 Max, I decided either (A) I live without a radar detector as the amount of FALSE alerts I was getting caused me to ignore pretty much any alert that would occur with them...or (B) I try something new. After doing much research, visiting the forums (Vortex, Bimmerpost, etc) I decided to give the Radenso XP and Pro-M both a try...I actually had some friends that both raved about their XP and the Pro-M's, so I was able to borrow them each for a week each to determine if the Radenso lived up to it's hype as "the quietest radar detector in the world." Guess what...I am a believer. Both the XP and the Pro-M have been so quiet that I often times had to check to make sure they were powered on...and when an actual threat would occur, the range in both were great...best of all, NOT A SINGLE FALSE LASER ALERT!!!!! Now, the Pro-M is more expensive, but also has a longer range. But hey, I am not a radar nerd and wasn't analyzing the distance in meters it would detect compared to the XP...I was just thankful that they worked...and as a matter of fact, they both WORKED WELL. The XP was a bit larger in size and doesn't have as long a range as the Pro-M...but I liked the performance of it and the fact that the buttons were a bit larger, more spaced out, and easier for me to navigate with. I had to make a tough life decision: Do I go with the XP or the Pro-M. For me, I made the decision mostly on the practicality, functionality, and cost of the unit...and hands down, the XP checked all those boxes. In addition, I decided to order the Blendmount for the Radenso XP and had the unit hard wired into my car from FyneTuned in Cincinnati, who does many Radenso professional installations (including the RC-M with ALP). In the end, I couldn't be happier with my purchase and give much thanks to the team at Radenso that have developed an amazing product with incredible false alert blocking algorithms which really ensure any false alerts are blocked via the GPS and you don't hear them again...areas in which both my Escort or V1 would always false alert (sometimes even with GPS lockout on the Escort), the Radenso performed flawlessly. If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and order the Radenso, you will not regret it.

Excellent radar detector very accurate
I have owned radar detectors in the past. And this one is, by far the best. Hardly any false alarms and is very accurate.Has saved me several times and i've only had it a month. Excellent price

Great, has some flaws.
I have had this detector for a while and it has been rock solid. I cam from a Cobra detector that would ring and beep at everything. It does have good range, if the officer is pointing towards you, I have noticed that if the officer is pointing the other way or directly in front, then it won't beep until it's too late. It also, seems pretty accurate though when it comes to detecting Ka, sometimes it will just beep Ka for no reason then go off, but as long as it works when I need it to. One thing that happened recently to me is that I did get a ticket and I knew the officer was there because of Ka band , but he put laser on the ticket and the detector never went off for laser. I don't know if the officer was lying or if the detector didn't pick up on it or what. The other thing that I find weird is that if a fire truck drives by with their Opticom on, then it goes crazy for laser. Other than all that, it is still rock solid and I would choose Radenso over any other brand.

Detector with preloaded features at a great price.
Great price and the unit filters seem to be effective blocking out annoying K-Band alerts from local businesses automatic doors etc. YouTube videos show a wide variety of features and options that this unit has to offer such as automatic switching from city to highway mode based on vehicle speed.

Excellent radar detector
I have owned about five or six radar detectors over my lifetime trying to get. Technology always gets better. This guy is about 4 years old but still gives far better radar detection and anti-filtering Noise than most radar detectors I've had in the past.

Distance
Was in the market for a reasonably priced Radar with good distance. Bought 2 different Newer cobras and was not impressed with distance. After taking a 600mile trip I'm very impressed with the Radenso XP! It gives you plenty of time to slow down and move over to the right lane way before the police even sees you. It works around corners and hills. Definitely happy with my purchase!
