How many amps does the 24v solenoid itself draw?

I run mine on a 400 milliamp circuit, so not very much. If the solenoid is closing, you have enough amperage to close the high amp contacts.

what is the min/max voltage and amps required to actuate the solenoid? 12v or 24v and how many amps are needed?

We have 12V & 24V Voltage, 12V's Working Voltage: 9~15V; The 24V's Working Voltage:18~30V. Max Current is 300A; The resistance is 14 Ω

Will this work to inguage a 24volt starter on a John Deer loader?

I don't know how many amps the starter on your loader draws, but the relay I have is rated for 300 amps. Your battery is probably capable of more than 800 cranking amps, so it might burn it out.
