Easy to install! Works as intended!
Have installed this on two different vehicle with complete success. 2015 Odyssey and 2015 Pilot. The wire connectors seem good quality with a satisfying click when installed. Installation took minutes with basic tools. Infuriating story on the Odyssey, which belongs to a nephew and his wife. They have three kids. First occurrence of misfires and limp modes occurred while they were on family vacation some 15 hours away. Shop replaced the typical plugs and coil packs and charged a couple thousand dollars. Same symptoms returned some months later. Their local mechanic repeated the same “repair” as previous mechanic along with a couple more thousand dollars down the drain. Some months later, same issue: misfires and limp mode. Then they told me about it. I immediately suggested installing this muzzler. They agreed - why wouldn’t you for such little money? Installed muzzler along with 3 of 6 spark plugs. Two long road trips later, they have had zero repeat issues!

easy to install, works as desired
My 2010 Accord was going into ECO mode more more than it used to, the Muzzler did the trick and now it's smooth sailing. Wish I hd done this 10 years ago. Good product.

Use a different part. Not this.
I can’t recommend this. It does indeed trick your engine into thinking the coolant temp is lower than it is, thereby disabling Vcm. However my experience is that this also prevented the evap system from functioning correctly, and now i believe i must replace my evap canister due to it being flooded. I’ve been experiencing rough starts or no starts for a month, even after removing the part. No shade to the manufacturer or seller - the part seems well constructed. But this approach doesn’t account for other necessary systems in the vehicle. The car also started throwing a bunch of other, seemingly unrelated, check engine codes. This is after i adjusted the resistance per the recommended instructions on the sales page. Recommend to find a different solution to disable vcm.

A real review from a real person
I see some reviews saying it was bad, I noticed that some come with the red/black wire switched. That is definitely the problem if yours is not working. Either get a replacement or switch it yourself. Mine works great at 86. I still get the occasional eco light to come on but the majority of the time it works and my plugs/oil look a lot better when I look/change them. I’m going to try the other settings and see if I can permanently get the ECO light off. But so far so good. It’s been about a year with it, but no CELs or any issues. Gas mileage goes down a tiny bit but it’s worth it, rather than replacing plugs, oil, or even an engine for that matter. Make sure the wires are assembled correctly, and find your settings because it won’t be the same for everyone. Different car, different climate zones. Very cheap to try out, easy to install. These muzzles shouldn’t even be that expensive like the other ones out there.

Great value, works as promised
Easy to install, though it did not come with instructions. Just look up a video online, you simply set the resistance that you want, install the cover on the resistor box, unplug your coolant temperature sensor, plug that connector into one end of this device and plug the other end of this device into your sensor. It took less than 5 minutes on my Odyssey. I saw a couple other reviews say this doesn't work because it's wired wrong. Either those reviewers just happened to get a defective one or something, because it worked perfectly for me. Took it on a 2 hour trip right after installation and the ECO light in my van did not come on at all, and the van ran perfectly. For under $20, the ease of installation and piece of mind to know that it will prevent the VCM system from damaging my engine makes this a no-brainer. That it comes with extra resistors in case you need to replace one is a bonus.

Great Cheap device, thats plug and play and saves your engine
Does what its supposed to do, no more eco light on my 2915 honda odyssey. My van is getting worse mpg though but I'll take that over having to spend thousands of dollars to have to rebuild an engine! My van has about 95000 miles on it and after installing this muzzle, I replaced the plugs that were original. The rear bank plugs were all fouled up, front were fine, but if you have a similar mileage, its still not too late to save your engine with device, just make sure you replace your plugs at the same time.

Works as expected
The ECO mode light stopped showing on the dashboard with the initial 82 Ohms configuration at 80F. So far so good after a week of usage. I expected going to the next Ohms level sometime in May when average temps would be 90F and then again by end of June when temps will be over 100F for the Summer. I hope it will work then. I had to cover the wire ends with self bonding aislant tape to get added protection vs heat and dust. I am thinking on making my own dial muzzle which will be easier to configure than this piano style switchboard. No complaints, very good for the price. Regards to you all from the Gulf of Texas.

Impressive when it works
I also had an issue with this vcm muzzler but was able to fix it. Unfortunately when I got around to installing the muzzler, the window to return the device had passed. Installation on my 2015 Pilot was easy enough but as soon as I started the engine, the check engine light came on and stayed on. On inspection, the cables were also soldered backwards having black on V+ and red on G. I resoldered the wires to the correct poles and it worked like a charm. I really am impressed with this muzzler. It uses a dip switch to change resistor values. However I’m still not sure why extra resistors were included. I guess it’s to enable users to replace defective resistors if needed. The eco light doesn’t come on anymore and the SUV seems to be more peppy. I just wish that the company did a better job at QA. Looking at the reviews I see that some people received their muzzler wired correctly.
