A new star is born
Adam Audio is a very high-end professional brand and the T5V and T7V are a new, low-cost product line that brings their amazing ribbon tweeter tech to the masses.I initially bought Adam Audio T5V (the smaller, 5” version) and returned them for these. Both models are essentially the same except for bass response (these T7V have the bass balanced just right). Both models sound more expensive than they are. I love the tweeters! They are so much better that domes or horns. It took me two days to learn to like them, but once I did, I’ve become a huge fan.POSITIVES:FULL RANGE, FLAT - These are full-range speakers. From bass to extreme highs, you get it all. They don’t have much sub-bass, but for use in a partially treated room no bigger than a bedroom, at moderate volume, you won’t be disappointed with any aspect of the frequency range.INTIMATE, YET OPEN - Acoustic music sounds intimate, detailed and clear and has natural, full tone, even on larger percussion. The extended, open high-end really shines on vocals and acoustic guitar. They also excel at electronic music and can be a lot of fun listening to EMD. I wouldn’t say these are transparent, (that level of clarity costs a lot of money) but they are extended and well defined.AMAZING IMAGING - The imaging is different, and I like it. Mono sounds are phantom centered, Stereo sounds are wherever they belong and not necessarily tied to speaker location, and everything seems forward. The speakers kind of disappear. Sounds seem to float in front in front of you.On electronic music, sometimes the sound seems right at the ear, like headphones. Sound seems to be projected to you.If I move my head from side to side, the tweeters sound identical and seem to beam a cone of sound that’s wide and consistent in tone. You don’t have to be positioned right in middle to hear highs and stereo image accurately.SUBWOOFER NOT ESSENTIAL – The bass is deep and punchy, and impressive for only having 50W at the woofer. It can’t compete with studio mains at higher volume, but it’s got what you need at low-mid volume. I have an M-Audio subwoofer and on some content, there isn’t much difference when I hit the bypass pedal. Full orchestra and dance music get the sub going, but it’s not like something goes missing in the listening experience when I bypass the sub. I could mix confidently without a sub.NEGATIVES:NO POWER LIGHT - There is no power indication light on the front! I've left them on overnight by accident.NEW PRODUCT LINE - Adam Audio is a high-end brand normally made in Germany and this is a new budget line made in China, so long term reliability is not known at this point. I’m an early buyer, and both of my T7V speakers have serial numbers below 1,000. The good news is this speaker has a 5-year warranty and the highly regarded brand has a venerable reputation to maintain.CONCLUSION:The T7V give you an entree into the amazing Adam Audio sound at an entry-level price. You can find similar-sized speakers for substantially less, but these are on a different level. I consider these to be a great value. The main rivals for these would be the popular Yamaha HS7, which do have a bit more power and are battle tested. Now that I’ve adapted my hearing to the ribbon tweeters, I wouldn’t want to go back to listening to dome tweeters. If you want to hear everything in equal measure, get these. The highs are detailed and open and the frequencies well-balanced. You get a very good representation of what you are doing. The forward imaging is really engaging. The wide zone you can move your head back and forth and get the same exact sound makes it a good choice for rooms where people are sitting beside you or you must reach side to side to work. The tweeters aren't fatiguing, and if you have a quiet room you can monitor at low volume and still clearly hear everything.I highly recommend the T7V. If space is an issue, the Adam Audio T5V are significantly smaller and sound great for their size (but a bit lacking in bass depth and punch).

Wow!
I love these speakers. I got them a while back, and I thought I would post a review here because there aren’t many. The sound has rich lows and amazing highs regardless if you are creating music or you are using it for your computer or tv (I use them with Focusright-which is also great)They make the sound perfect even when I play my ps4. I got them to record off my Korg , but ended up using them for several things. The tweeters on the Adam Audio are amazing and worth the price but the 7 inch woofers are also great

Report in error
I reported the comments on the “Adam T7V 7” Active Studio Monitor review as an “ABUSE” inadvertently by my mistake. In fact, I found it informative. I apologized for my mistake. Thank you!!
