I've purchased this tie twice now because I like the look. It has a simple, yet elegant, understated design that's better than anything I can find locally. I also love the pocket square! It looks sharp when worn with the matching tie! But the tie is not without it's shortcomings: 1) When I originally purchased it, it was marketed as "silk". It's not. It's 100% synthetic. Thankfully, that marketing has since been updated to "silky" (which it isn't, either). 2) The set advertises that it comes with cuff links. It doesn't. While I love and wear French-cuffed shirts often, I wouldn't use their cuff links anyway, so it's a non-issue for me. 3) The tie frays and snags very easily! After wearing it 6-8 times, I noticed the edges of the tie fray just from tying it as the fabric rubs against itself (see photo). To me, this is a sign of very cheap, synthetic fabric. 4) Though I'm not a fan of the quality, still, I liked the design enough so ordered a second one to replace the pictured first tie that was only about 3 months old. The second one arrived with three snags (like runs in a woman's nylons) up and down the front of the tie and though it came in new packaging, still it appeared to have been tied at least once before, so it's possible I received a previously used, returned tie. Now I have the hassle of returning it and hoping for a better one without snags. Highly disappointed.
