Robust construction. I bought it to supplement my TIG welder for dirtier jobs. I used it to weld a simple frame this evening. Once I got the hang of the spool of wire and the amp settings I went to town! It welds cleanly with little practice and I was able to make a simple frame for a rolling tub in no time. I would recommend this for outdoor use if you need something portable and quick and don't have alot of time for prep work. I beat the heck out of the test weld to see if it would hold and it didn't budge! The welds will need proper cleanup once they cool. But I am confident they will look as good as any of my TIG welding projects. Solid buy!!! At lowest setting and slowest speed this unit can still burn through thinner materials. Instructions could use some work especially concerning the tensioning and feed of machine. Only have used it on stainless steel with flux core stainless steel wire. Little splatter when used with nozzle gel.
