This works extremely well and rarely needs to be charged. We've had it run for a few weeks 24/7 in AZ without having to recharge it. Does a great job skimming the pool surface. Aiper not only makes great products, but their customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced. They are very responsive, extremely nice, and make finding a resolution very easy. Wish other companies would follow their customer service model. I also have the Aiper Scuba 3 and it does an amazing job cleaning the floor, walls and tiles of the pool.

I've been using the Aiper Surfer S2 for several weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its cleaning performance. It handles debris effectively and navigates my pool with ease. It picks up leaves, dust, dirt, and small particles without any problems. Setup was straightforward, and maintenance is minimal. For the price point, this is a solid investment for anyone looking to keep their pool clean without the hassle of manual skimming. Aiper's customer service has also been responsive and supportive. Very satisfied with this Aiper Surfer S2 product. I also own and use an Aiper Scuba S1 product.

Purchased a year ago and just wow!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I no longer have a pool guy. I have a pool robot overlord. I bought the Aiper Surfer S2 thinking it would just skim some leaves. What I did not expect was to become emotionally attached to a solar-powered disc that cruises my pool like it owns the place. This thing works 24/7. TWENTY-FOUR HOURS. SEVEN DAYS. I don’t even work that hard and I have a mortgage. It seeks out sunlight to recharge itself, then gets right back to cleaning. My therapist could never. The obstacle avoidance is genuinely impressive — it frees itself when it gets stuck, which is more self-awareness than I had in my 20s. The app lets me check the battery and remote control it, which means I now spend my weekends on the patio with a cold drink, steering a robot around my pool like a tiny aquatic drone pilot. Is this what peak adulthood feels like? Yes. Yes it is. The DebrisGuard actually keeps debris IN the basket when you lift it out, so no gross splashback. Whoever engineered that feature deserves a raise and a fruit basket. My pool has never been cleaner. 10/10. Would let it run my life.

So far I am extremely happy with my Aiper EcoSurfer S2. This keeps my pool looking pristine. I have not had to manually skim my pool for any reason since I started using it. It picks everything up big or small. I have not had to recharge it, it remains fully charged and running on solar power. This is a game changer since I don’t have the time to manually clean my pool. Hooking it up to the app was a breeze. Initial charging was quick. It is light weight, I can send my kid out to retrieve it. The filter basket is easy to remove and as long as you hold it upright when removing it from the water nothing will fall back in. Everything about this skimmer is easy. I couldn’t be more happy. If anything changes in the future I will update.

Overall, this product works well if your pool doesn’t have a lot of large debris like leaves or long pollen strands. It handles small debris effectively, but longer strands tend to wrap around the propeller, eventually causing it to jam. The battery life is excellent after the initial charge, and the app is a strong feature—it allows you to schedule multiple cleaning times and provides reliable notifications, including alerts when the unit gets jammed. However, in three weeks of use, the unit has jammed at least 15 times due to long pollen strands getting tangled in the propeller. In comparison, I previously used the Betta skimmer, which had better debris capacity and significantly fewer jams, though it struggled with battery life. Was hoping for better performance, but improvements. The company responded to my review and followed up with a refund offer. However, I decided to keep the skimmer for smaller debris as the battery life is great. I sincerely cannot increase to 5-star, but the customer service is quite good on following up with my review and my issue. I increased the rating to 4 -star due to its customer service along with great battery life.

Best investment by far. It keeps my pool spotless. I have it on a timer and it cleans 3 times a day. I charged it right out of the box and put it in the pool. And haven't charged it since. The solar is awesome. Easy to use app and easy to take the tray out and clean. If you are on the fence about it. I will say this. GET IT!!! you wont regret it.

I purchased the Aiper EcoSurfer S2 in July 2025, and this thing has been a game changer. Until then, we only had a pool robot for the floor and walls. It makes such a difference to catch debris before it even sinks to the ground, and this device does just that. These days, barely anything finds its way to the skimmer basket anymore, as the Aiper intercepts most of it. The device is very user-friendly. It is so easy to lift it up, pull out the basket, hose it off, and put it back in. We live in the Southwest, so charging the battery via the solar panels works like a charm. So far, the device has been operating very reliably for over 3,000 hours. I appreciate the continuous updates to the app. When I received the Aiper, it didn't have the edge guard mode, and after two days I did notice scratches. However, I just added some tape to the relevant areas for extra protection. Now I run it in edge guard mode most of the time and occasionally in full cover mode, knowing that I won't have to worry about scratches anymore. The sensors on the device work very well. The attached video shows the device operating in edge guard mode. After about 8 months, the bearing of the impeller went bad. I contacted support, and communication was very good. In the end, I just got a pack of spare bearings, as they are cheap and easy to replace. This was the only minor issue I have encountered. Overall, I am very happy with the device and can highly recommend it.

I bought this product to grab leaves floating on the surface of my in-ground pool, before they could sink and get sucked up by my vacuum-based bottom cleaner. It certainly performed that function extremely well. What I didn't realize was that my pool surface also had a persistent layer of dust, pollen, and other urban gunk that made the surface look dull. This cleaner also removed that layer, making the water look spectacularly polished. I was doubly impressed and set my review at five stars. The packaging was top notch, and the provided phone app was well thought out and worked perfectly. Given this level of satisfaction, I found myself doubly disappointed when the left of two propellers stopped working in less than a year. I swapped propellers, but the problem stayed on the left. Each propeller snaps onto an axle assembly that has a cable routed into a waterproof box housing the control electronics. I opened up the electronics box and saw cable connectors that allowed me to swap left and right axle assemblies, and the problem stayed on the left. This told me the problem was with the axle assembly, not the electronics. Thinking that I could never get replacement parts, I lowered my review to just one star, thinking it was game over for the Aiper. Well, stay tuned. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by Aiper who asked for additional information, and they concluded the best path forward was to give me a completely new unit. This told me two things about Aiper: (1) they monitor reviews to access customer satisfaction, and (2) they go the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied. Because of that outstanding customer support, I have restored my review to five stars. The new unit arrived in just a few days, and it is busy restoring that polished look to my pool surface. One other hint for those who might have a bottom vacuum cleaner with a long floating hose like I do: My Aiper liked the hose, and they developed a relationship that interfered with efficiency. I got some 14-gauge stainless steel wire and wrapped it into the spiral of the hose in three places along its length (about 10 wraps each). This sank the hose a bit, making it look like the Lock Ness monster that breaks the surface just here and there. The Aiper and the hose now play nice together.

I received it earlier in the Summer, and it's done a fantastic job throughout, but in the fall is where I'm really reaping the benefits. My neighbour has some deciduous trees, and it's one the the earliest to drop it's leaves. We have still had some really warm days so I'm hesitant to close the pool. This Beast has been great at scooping the surface garbage before it goes underwater. The sun isn't as strong as in the height of summer, but the panel gets enough to keep it going. The skimmer is relatively easy to handle and scoop out of the pool. Emptying the filter is also easy. I don't use the Bluetooth, and it does a great job getting around the pool and hitting all the spots.

I am totally impressed with the AIPER top water cleaner. As you can see in the image, it collects all the pollen on the top of the water that I can't clean with a cleaning net. The fact that it is solar and never stops working is a plus for us. It is saving us approximately. 1 hour a day for us. We live near a forest, and there are plenty of trees. They are a pure joy, but the debris they produce is enough for us to look for a solution. This has done wonders for us and our summer camp for kids.

In use: I have tested this unit for the past 2 months without any hiccups. It has been consistently good and does it's job with minimal effort. I have tested in in my own above ground circular pool and my sisters in ground rectangular pool. It performed great in both circumstances. Offering the same level of leaning power. For all the good there was a handful of times that the robot got confused on my sisters regular stairs. After turning it off then back on it worked fine after recalibration. Since this is a battery operated machine it takes it's time and might be a bit slow for some users. Cleaning my sisters 28L buy 10W foot pool took almost 1h50mins. This included the walls and surface. In my modest 24 foot above ground pool it took 1hour. Witch is pretty good especially considering, I only had to empty the basket once. In the fall it needed more frequent emptying around 2 to 3 times per use. Since I have many trees on my property. . The unit also charges in the sun offering a constant cleaning solution with even less fuss. This is especially true if you have no trees in you're yard. Yet with the constant shade my unit needed to be topped up at the end of a hard days work. Final thoughts: If you are looking for the robot that could.
