I brought this KOACKL propane torch for a weekend camping trip with my son, and it turned out to be one of the best tools we packed. We were cooking all our meals over the campfire, and this torch made starting fires quick and easy. It connected securely to a standard propane tank and lit up instantly with the built-in igniter. Make sure to follow the directions and turn the gas up only enough to light the torch. Also, it was a little more difficult for us to see the flame when it was light outside.The flame is powerful and adjustable, which was great for getting the fire going in the morning when everything was damp. It also helped us achieve a nice sear on our steaks, adding that flame-broiled flavor you usually only get from a grill. The torch feels sturdy and well-made, with a comfortable grip that made it easy to handle. It has a nice trigger housing and a firm and stable vertical foregrip that makes it easy to hold and handle. Hear me out ..! A flamethrower is what you get this is so cool . User friendly , safe , efficient and awesome would be a disservice when describing this tool because you get way more than that when working the practical uses for it . I cooked meats and to char the garlic butter on top of a new york strip made me the star of the memorial day cook out . I really recommend such a nice tool like this to anyone who wants to star in their own show . The many uses this item can dominate makes it easy to use in any situation .

We have a huge fire pit mainly to burn lawn debris. I got tired of trying to light everything with a regular lighter so I bought this propane torch. Oh my gosh, what a huge difference this torch makes. It lights everything quickly cuz of the strong torch that comes out of it. This is highly recommended for anyone who wants to start a fire quickly. Price was pretty good too.

I ordered the Koackl Propane Cooking Torch mainly to light my fire pit and burn some weeding and scrub in the backyard. I knew that it wasn't a cooking torch as my cooking torch is a handheld torch that can be used in a kitchen. This bad boy looks more like a flamethrower that Pyro from Team Fortress would use!The torch looks great and feels very well made. The majority of the body is plastic so it is light and even the parts on top, which look like metal are plastic with the torch end being metal. The connection for the tank is also made of metal, which is great since you won't have to worry about it cracking and having gas leak out. The grips are nice and holding it with two hands makes it easy to control the flames direction when using it for scrub and weed burning, lighting a charcoal grill as well as lighting a fire pit.Now, calling this a Cooking Torch is a bit of a stretch unless you cook a lot on an outdoor fire pit. At 2 feet long, it is WAY too big to use inside your home's kitchen in any useful way. They say it can even be used for lighting a cigar. Now, I grew up watching Looney Tunes and, unless you want to end up like Daffy Duck, I would definitely NOT attempt this!Overall, I am very happy with the Koackl torch. It works well for my needs, is comfortable to use and the two handed grip gives nice directional control and it makes me feel like I'm a soldier taking out aliens. At $70, it is a bit pricey, especially for something made primarily of plastic. That and the marketing as a cooking torch are the only reasons for my 4 star review.
