Almost perfect
Rock solid, maneuvers into hard to get to places, and the the twist lock legs that I've gotten used to on an aging Gitzo Reporter which it replaces.Currency fluctuations means that (for now) it's better to buy from amazon.co.uk rather than from amazon.com or Manfrotto uk.Oh and don't forget to go to the manfrotto website for the 8 year warranty extension. (The serial number is hidden on the inside of the leg with the printing near the top.)I'm using a Sony A6000 and nothing too heavy in the way of lenses on it so I can't comment on how well it performs when under heavy loads.Edit - Now using with a Sony A7RIV, Battery grip and a 100mm-400mm zoom. It’s still solid

Not as sturdy as I’d like
Manfrotto mk190goc4.Carbon fibre tripod. The tripod it self is sturdy.Quality very good.Leg section twist release is quick easy and reliable.Multi angle adjustment for use on any terrain.Very flexible and light weight great for travelering collapses to a compact size for easy storage. The main fault I feel with this tripod is when you extend the central column.Unscrewing the column release it feels so flimsy, the way it’s built is clever so that column goes horizontal. It’s so awkward to return it to normal and if you have your camera on it, it makes it worse.Having a heavy lenses on and you must be careful when horizontal get the angle wrong and over it goes. With careful setting up it’s great but it’s the possible oversight that may cost you more.Would recommend for light weight work.

Excellent and looks great in black and red
Really happy with this (newer version [?]) Manfrotto 190 tripod update.Looking really nice in it's black with red anodised trim (compared to the older 190 in it's unfinished aluminium this looks a lot more expensive than it actually is) and with an updated rubber grip on the top of one of the legs which is perfect on those cold wintry days - although I did like the old double spongey-type handle option as you could warm both hands a little on it which was nice when in the low numbers on the thermometer with no gloves but this one looks far nicer and functions perfectly and besides you really shouldn't forget some decent gloves now on freezing cold days, should you ? Unless you like looking like some android-experiment-gone-wrong, I suppose, then that too could be great (unnoticed design feature, maybe ?).The updated quick release leg locks are a pleasure to use, compared to the old levers that twisted, and far better and quicker to use now with a simple short twist to loosen or tighten, excellent, and very positive in use (although I stay aware of not over tightening just in case some it may break and I must add, here, that I am not saying they are flimsy or weak but rather it is a personal choice and that I am probably being over-caring) . So too are the main top leg locks with a simple switch lock. The feet at bottom of the legs are much better in a softer grippier rubber, perfect on many floor types although I still wrap mine in some re-claimed supermarket carrier bag, or similar with an elastic band to secure, whilst outdoors on the hills to keep them in good condition for when in use on nicely finished indoor flooring.Using the MHXPRO-BHQ2 head with the majorly improved quick-release camera-shoe is , as ever, fantastic and now feeling more secure allowing easier loading and unloading of your camera plus there is a nice and handy circular 360° type spirit-level for getting the camera perfectly level should you require. There is also a nicely incorporated 360° collar around the base of the tripod head just perfect if you want to take a very wide 'überpanorama' (?) series of shots and re-stitch later on on your computer and this too looks great being laser etched on the red anodised aluminium collar making it look real cool, to my taste. With the head utilising a gimbal-joint which is easily and always positive-feel adjusted never making you feel your camera prism is going to get ruined crashing down into the main tripod body as can happen on lesser designed heads and associated fixings. Adjusting the main centre pillar is excellent now, again comparing to my older 190, and with much appreciated and far wider range of positions which is great for super low level shots or if you want to add accessories to the centre pillar such as a synched flash unit. This centre pillar is very easily adjusted, now, and you can get your lens into some really interesting positions so you don't have to get too familiar with the surroundings and it keeps your camera rock-steady too. If you wish you can add a certain amount of mass to the bottom when used in it's full vertical state to help keep it sure and stable for that perfect shot.I was impressed with the old 190 and now much happier with this. Priced just right for what is a very good camera tripod from a one of the greatest manufacturers in this field plus they offer a range of different heads and accessories so you can build up your perfect platform(s). If I did have one gripe then I guess the bag could be better but it does it's job over short distance or just for storage and if needed you can upgrade to a more protective bag or case even.Highly recommended.

Manfroto 190 go tripod
This is a great tripod . It is light before you add on the head you buy separately. So take that into account when choosing. Very well made.

Love it
Got this to replace my redsnapper that’s still good but heavy and I did not like the head. First thing is the difference in quality and it’s miles better and lighter, it cost 4 times the price though so it should be better. Everything is silky smooth but solid and it’s reasonably lightweight but very stable and I really like the ability to make the centre column horizontal as well. The ball head is very nice to use and has friction control which works perfectly. I liked the xpro head so much I bought a separate one and have put that on my redsnapper.

It's hard to say anything about Manfrotto tripods that hasn't bee said before. Solid. secure.completely stable. Expensive but worth it!

Very good quality
This is a great tripod, a little on the expensive side but it just feels like a quality bit of kit compared to some other tripods I tried. The extending arm is good when balanced over a leg. Height and stability are good, folds down reasonably compact and the 3 way head is really good! Love the adjustable tension dials - this is the killer feature for me so I can dial in exactly the position I need for macro without the wobble tighten effect.

Travel light: light, small and stable.
It is light. It is so small it fits inside my backpack (standard daypack), just remove the head.It is so stable I was able to get perfect photos on very long exposures. The ballhead is all you need, just use the in-camera level.

Ottimo
