Excellent
Do you need a good strainer to rinse your Simons with this product because the pieces are very small and there is a lot of salt and sand in it but ultimately it was a good product and grind it up really good in the blender and it was virtually no taste when you make your smoothies

Does Organic Make a Difference?
I don't think so. Nothing from the sea is really safe anyway. And no one grows this weed (yet) in irish moss "farms". It is full of sand but somewhat less so than the beer versions of irish moss.IOW, get a good strainer so you won't be letting any sand through, just the gel and whatever trace minerals are there - you sure can smell the sea.Nedmay's wife's recipe for stomach pain.If you don't trust modern chemistry to handle the residual pain of an old stomach ulcer, this stuff works well. It's also the cheapest way to get trace minerals in a whole form.Wash 1/3 cup of moss in several rinses of water. You'll see a lot of sand at the bottom. Avoid letting that drain into the next rinse (I use two pots for this). You won't be able to get rid of all the sand, so don't try. After three rinses the moss will have swelled somewhat. Put in top of a double boiler and add some salt and ~ 1 liter of water.Cook on low (I use a diffuser to avoid having the water in the bottom of boiler evaporate) for ~1/2 hour. Remove from heatPour into strainer set over a deep pot and stir until the gel runs out into the deep pot, leaving the moss in the strainer. This stuff is pricey and you can stretch it by re-using the cooked moss in the same way, with somewhat less water. Thus, dump the residue and refrigerate to do a repeat later.Mix a handful of soaked raisins, grated fresh or dried ginger, vanilla, and whatever kind of sweetner you prefer into the warm gel. Molasses is good. 1/2 cream smooths it out and removes much of the 'bottom-of-the-sea' edge to the taste.Yes, a lot of work but it really does slowly heal gut tissue.Final analysis: this is marginally better than the beer version. Much less sand, but still pretty gritty. Don't try without a good strainer or cheese cloth.

Good product
Minimal grains of sand and seems like it's pure stuff. Not sure don't have much to compare it to. It's tasty for sure, if you're into seaweed

STARWEST BOTANICALS IRISH SEA MOSS
The media could not be loaded. I will never purchase from them again at this time. SEA MOSS should never arrive like this and this is not okay. I am very disappointed as I had so much enthusiasm and anticipation for this product. This presentation of Sea Moss was unacceptable.
