The simplicity of use, accuracy when tested against other meters and known voltages, amps, and watts, and, most importantly, the upgraded features from the 800 to the 810 makes this the perfect mete for me. The reversed backlit readout makes it easy to read from all direction and in any lightening. That alone is worth the few extra dollars but changing in the probe insert hole from the bottom on the 800 to the lower part top of the face on this 810 model is priceless. One of the most annoying "features" most meters have are the bottom female receivers for the probes and those typically just get in the way and are a terrible design because they add unnecessary length and leverage weight to the meter. If you are going to one I HIGHLY recommend the 810. Side quest: the LoZ setting on it it also a HUGE plus. I dont need it often but when I do, it is a huge win. I cant tell you how many appliance lightbulbs I have broken over the years testing for dirty and phantom voltage.

I love this meter. It has every feature I need for both electric and HVAC work. I have a fluke meter as well, but this one in my opinion is so much better. Readings are accurate, the backlight is bright, the display is easy to read, and use is pretty straight forward. The only thing I don’t like, is that the clip for the test lead on the back of the clamp doesn’t fit the lead. But that’s a minor issue. I would definitely purchase this again and I highly recommend it.

While it's no Fluke in terms of ruggedness, this gets the job done at a fraction of the cost, while offering a good range of functions. I got this over a lesser meter mostly for the inrush current measurement and it works as advertised. Current and voltage measurement is not accurate on the load side of variable frequency drives, but that's a common limitation of meters that aren't built specifically for that. A believable cat IV rating is important for someone like me who works in an industrial setting. While it's no substitute for proper PPE, being confident in your meter is important. The readability of the screen is good, even in direct sunlight. Important when doing maintenance work on rooftop units. The flashlight feature is nice when testing in an area with limited lighting. Very happy with my purchase of this meter!

We use multiple Klein clamp meters for our electrical technicians, mainly the older CL800 model, and they have performed very well in regular field use. The CL810 offers an impressive range of (upgraded) functions in one instrument, including True RMS, AC/DC clamp current, LoZ, temperature, capacitance, frequency, continuity, and NCVT. The display is clear, the controls are practical, and the built-in lighting is helpful when working in electrical panels. For companies equipping several technicians, the combination of features and price represents very good value compared with many higher-priced alternatives from Fluke. Our only long-term concern comes from the older CL800 units: the rubberized material around the rotary dial can deteriorate after extended professional use. The meters continued operating, but this part could be more durable. I will monitor whether the newer CL810 performs better in this area. Overall, this is a capable and versatile meter that provides a lot of functionality for the price.

I also have a Fluke multimeter (no amp clamp) but for everyday / household electrical I find this totally adequate and If I lost all my tools and had to re-purchase then I would just get this one. Having the amp meter clamp is really helpful (if you don't know how this works, mind that you have to clamp ONLY one direction of flow / cable to get a reading -- so you can't just clamp an electrical cord and get an amp reading. It's not meant for measuring household appliances). I use these for AC and DC and both work well. If I had to ask for a few more things it would be some accessories like smaller tips for the voltage sensors and also clamps. It's often useful to just clamp one side of the circuit and then use the voltage wand/stick to hit the other side instead of trying to keep two hands steady. But again, at this price level, totally happy and I love having the amperage measurement capability.

The think does not BOUNCE around on readings like the darn Flukke in my opinion. Nice and strong. EZ to read. Backlite.

Il dispositivo è buono, ma il termometro non è preciso. L’indicatore di corrente sulla pinza serve solo a segnalare che da qualche parte c’è elettricità :) Per il resto, le funzionalità del dispositivo e il suo prezzo mi soddisfano pienamente.

IMO one of the most affordable do it all meters on the market. Klein is top notch and this meter is a flagship. If you can get your hands on one, don’t hesitate. The features are many and capabilities abound. A must have for electricians and hvac/r mechanics. Love mine.

I upgraded from the cl120. It works great for capacitance and temperature making it perfect for me. All I’ll ever need, backlight and added magnet makes it awesome
