Is the whole knife 18cm or just the blade ? Thanks** A: It was the 9.5 cms serrated knife and the 12.5cms Chefs knife that I bought not the bread knife. The length is the length of the actual cutting edge (the sharp bit) not the overall length of the metal blade and certainly not the overall length of the knife. These Sheffield made knives are brilliant and very highly fit for purpose. If Taylors say it is a professional bread knife, that is exactly what it is.
