Aqara just works reliably in Apple HomeKit
I have every camera known to work in the Apple HomeKit environment. I must say that these Aqara cameras, all models including this one, are rarely offline in HomeKit. Eufy, Logitech, Omna, Arlo, etc are offline constantly.Set it to automatic and the “fluent” setting kicks in and keeps your camera online. The picture remains perfectly clear and kicks it down a notch instead of it going offline completely. Other cameras just go offline.Yes you’ll need a hub but even their smart plugs have a built in hub. I use their pan scan cameras indoors and they track my ratties so I know when they’re being bad. They either sync up directly into the HomeKit environment seamlessly or you can go through aqara’s app and it’ll put it in your home environment with a flick of a switch.I opt to go into the app first as it has additional functions that you set up and they run in your apples home environment.Like calibration, animal detection, zero return set, etc.One camera liked to return home in an area that was redundant. I had as able to adjust where the lens returns to home in an area I need camera coverage. Of course if a dog or person walks by, it tracks your movements and sends a notification to your phone if you choose.I very happy with all Aqara products and most impressed with their outdoor security camera. So cool it connected right into the Aqara app then I sent it to Apple home through the Aqara portal.I can highly recommend ALL Aqara products including my new outdoor camera. Their products just work. And I have over 50 smart devices controlled by Apple home with Aqara leading the pack for reliability.Even native Nanoleaf products don’t compare and they’re exclusively made for the apple environment.

Great Cams - Easy Install!
I bought six of these for our birds hutches. They are very impressive cameras. We had some trouble pairing with the Aquara app, and need to contact support to fix the binding on two of them. Regardless, they all show in Apple Home and work great! We really love the ability to turn on a low level of light to check the chicks in the brooder.

Excellent picture quality
Picture quality especially in low light excellent.Easy of set up . My only concern is that the camera is getting weak Wi -Fi signal when older Eify picked up a stronger signal.Aqara App is good, and if you need a Hub that’s an extra bonus with G5.

Super high-quality image, especially in low light.
This is a surprisingly high quality and reliable camera. Value for money is tremendous and this is the best image quality I have seen compared to several other security cameras from Ring, Logitech, Eufy, etc. low light performance is exceptional, showing a color image. Several times I have gone out to my garage to turn off the lights, thinking they were on, however it was completely dark on there, with just the ceiling night-light and Tesla charger LEDs - the camera made it look fully bright! (Picture)Responsiveness to faces and motion is instant and reliable, and the audio is great. Looking forward to more of these for the house.

Great camera, great day & night clarity - attempted to catch fire!
Further updateAqara contacted me after my update about the burned cord and offered me a refund. I replied accepting their refund, and a day or so later they contacted me back claiming they had no record of the conversation. At this point, it has been about a month since the offered refund, but I am yet to receive it. To be clear, I did not contact them, and I did not expect a refund, but their false offer was a little confusing. I own a lot of Aqara gear, but I'm not sure what to make of this whole situation. One month update:I mounted this camera outside on my back patio about a month ago, a couple days ago I noticed it went offline and never came back. I checked on it, and realized the USB-C port must have caught fire or something, because it is charred and swollen. Oddly enough, the power brick seems to be completely unaffected, it is only the USB-C plug on the Aqara cable. The plug was extremely hot when I pulled it out. I let it cool down and used a dry cloth to clean it up, then tried plugging it in to a different power brick, but the camera won’t turn on.The camera was mounted on the outside wall of my back patio door under a small roof, and the power cord and plug was inside a weatherproof outlet cover (standard outdoor outlet cover for US homes).I have contacted Aqara, but have not heard back. I’m not sure what to make of the situation, but I’m hoping they respond and help figure out what went wrong. For now, dropping to one star since the camera only survived a few weeks outdoors on a covered patio before attempting to catch fire. Super disappointed since I have a LOT of Aqara products.Original review:I’m a huge Aqara fan—I’ve got a ton of their gear—so it’s no surprise I had high expectations for this camera, and it largely delivered. The build quality is solid, as I’ve come to expect from the brand, and the image sharpness is exceptional, both day and night, with motion capture that’s impressively reliable. That said, the Wi-Fi signal strength could use a boost; I noticed it struggles a bit compared to my iPhone in the same spot. To be fair, the signal isn’t great for either device there, but the phone holds up better, while the camera occasionally disconnects. It’s worth keeping in mind if you’re planning to place it on the fringes of your Wi-Fi range. Other nitpicks: the included USB cable is shorter than I’d like, and it’s a bummer they didn’t toss in a power brick. Still, those are minor gripes for an otherwise stellar product that fits right into my Aqara / Apple HomeKit ecosystem

Aqara camera nice integrations
The Aqara G5 Camera Pro? Picture quality so crisp, I can practically count the dust bunnies judging me in the corner of the room. Features galore, it's like they crammed a tiny smart home butler into this little lens! My only beef is that some of its fanciest tricks are locked behind a paywall – it's like inviting someone to a party and then charging them extra for the good snacks. Still, this thing integrates with my smart home like it's been invited to all the cool kids' gatherings. My lights dim when it sees me looking sad (or maybe just tired?), and the cat now thinks it's part of the security detail. Despite the subscription side-eye, it's a pretty impressive little camera.

Great HomeKit, Amazon or Google system addition
Great 4k camera that’s POE powered. All the features and more than an Axis camera and it’s Matter based so it works with every large home systems. Aqara makes great stuff for your home security projects. This one is a matter and zigby hub as well
