VAMPLIERS 5" Mini Stripped M2 Screw Extractor Pliers ESD Safe TPR Handles

After trying several other methods to remove a very stripped screw I ordered these as a last ditch effort and they worked the first try. I'd tried some goo, which I think would had it have worked if I'd been able to use the screwdriver perfectly perpendicular, but I had yet to disassemble the sewing machine enough at that point. I tried screw extractors that were never quite the right size, sticky materials etc. I even tried a regular pair of pliers that couldn't quite grip the screw well enough. These pliers allowed me to remove the screw in less than 30 seconds after trying an entire day with other methods. Not the cheapest, but the build quality is exceptional and I would absolutely buy again. They were smaller than expected, but they still worked for my purposes.

These saved the day. I stripped a tiny screw holding down my m.2 SSD. I was beyond frustrated with how such a simple drive swap could cause me so much stress because of a tiny screw. After reading reviews where others used these pliers to solve the very same issue I was facing, I decided to try them out. Before they arrived, I fantasized about removing the screw then throwing it into the trash. Welp, my fantasy came true. I was able to grip it by the screwhead and remove it with ease. The qualityis solid and the design is easy to hold. Absolutely worth the money. Now I'm looking for more stripped screws to to eliminate.

Total life saver. Had a tiny screw that was badly stripped. Even with just a sliver of the head sticking up, this grabbed perfectly and made short work of it. Great quality tool that really works.

TLDR: M.2 screw stripped? Vampliers will suck (and turn) the screw out! No dremel nor super glue needed! BLEH! I was very skeptical at first of this item as I always think most pliers don't work with stripped screws correctly... let alone tiny Desktop/Laptop screws! But these...! These worked the first time right out of the packaging! I had stripped my M.2 screw out of my Lenovo Legion Y740 17 inch laptop a few weeks ago trying to remove the thing... and totally didn't know how to get it freed without damaging anything in the chassis... I heard of using a dremel, but to scared to do something that could also damage any part inside the laptop, I also was going to try the Super Glue method... but again scared of damaging my parts. When I heard about these Vampliers (A cool and clever product name!) from a forum about removing a stripped M.2 ssd card from a laptop and looked at the reviews... my jaw first dropped at how expensive these tiny pliers are but... THEY ARE WORTH EVERY CENT! As you can tell in these photos... you can see the stripped screw in my hand and how small, flat & thin the screw and its head is by the penny, but it grappled the thin head with no issues... and a few turns later... popped the screw out and I was able to replace the screw easily! No fuss, no muss, it got the job done so easy! So outside of the high price I have no issues with these pliers, if anything changes as I use them overtime I will update this review. (Currently its Dec. 06, 2022) But I will completely 100% recommend these to your PC & small electrical tool box! Any PC repair person should keep a pair of these on hand in case of stripped screws inside Desktops and Laptops!

WOW. Where have you been my whole life? This little tool worked like a dream on the toughest, most stripped screws in my house. This is a MUST BUY!!

Holy crap these got me out of the hassle of having to send my new laptop back cause of a stripped screw from the factory. I was installing a new SSD into the computer. For the most part, the process goes smoothly, until I get to the hard drive bay and start to unscrew the caddy that holds the drive in place. There are three screws, two of them come out fine, the last one however, ends up getting stripped. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ The first thought was to try super glue. It ends up leaving me curious as to why anyone thought super glue would be a good idea because it took forever to set when applied to metal, literally ended up almost being 24 hours, which I of course didn't have the patience for. Maybe I just got the wrong glue, I don't know, but it basically didn't work, any amount of torque broke the glue, even after letting it sit for several minutes. A rubber band supposedly works as well, the idea being that the rubber is flexible enough to fill in any remaining edges. That didn't work for me, but I think it might have worked had I found a thinner and wider rubber band. I bought Moody Tools 58-0670 6-Piece Slot/Phil/Screw Extractor Combo Reversible Driver Set as a possible alternate solution but ended up deciding to return em cause I figured it probably wouldn't end up working now that there was glue inside of the screw. Finally I decided to get some Vampliers. They came promptly and actually a day earlier than expected! While I initially was elated I got them so quickly, that turned to panic and cursing during my first couple of attempts at using the pliers(I was dealing with a very tiny screw and pretty much completely flush with the base it was attached to). However, after I calmed down and approached the problem screw, gripping gently and twisting slowly, the screw started to turn!!! Now, these won't be good for every situation. The pliers are small, but it's unlikely they'd be good in a situation when dealing with something like a recessed screw. But anything else, with enough patience and determination, you ought to be able to get just about anything out.

This thing was pretty dang cool and surprises me each day. I ordered it, and after sleeping on it....I started to fret that it would have trouble with any screws that are in tight places or adjutant to a frame or wall or anything sticking out. I almost canceled it and went with something else or a combination thereof.... However, I let it ride and was glad I did. It slides into much tighter places than I'd expect, and much like at the World Series of Poker all Jack Straus needed was a "chip and a chair," to remain in contention. All that this little sucker needs is to get a sliver of its teeth around the perpetrating screw, and dagnabit if that puppy isn't going to come out like the sun 24 hours from now. It's pretty industrious and honestly so far, there's not been a job I couldn't tackle with it. That said, I've tested it on some screws that are really hemmed in, like 3 of 4 sides have a boundary of some sort. And there have been some spots where if the screw was stripped, this alone wouldn't have been able to grab at it. I went ahead and picked up a bottle of the sticky goo that is supposed to work well. I presume that between the two of these, they'll work it like Rupaul on a runway.

30sec after opening the package I had the stripped 3mm screw out that I had been fighting with using all different kinds of pliers and extractors! A must have in your rework/repair toolkit!

These are great. I couldn't believe how easily they removed a very overtighten M2 screw that was holding the wifi card in my GMKtec mini pc that I had stripped in the process of trying to unscrew it. Screw GMKtec man (pun intended). I was doubtful these would work with how tight the screw was but these did the job straight away. A little expensive but worth the money.
