5.3 In Thai Tea Strainer, Fine Mesh Cloth, Stainless Steel Handle

This strainer is perfect for straining fine things, such as herbs. The fabric zips off the metal handle, making cleaning really easy. I am so glad I found this and highly recommend it to anyone who makes their own herbal concoctions at home. It works well, is easy to use, and very durable. I have used it several times. Elderberry stains the fabric, but that is something you would expect, so it doesn't bother me at all. You could use this simply for tea, but I think it is too big for that unless you are making a big batch.

- No country of origin (illegal in the US) All the print on the bag is Taiwanese, the only English on the pkg is "Filter bag" and "New design" (it's not new) I'm not a big fan of the filter bags generally. They're messy and look fairly icky after use. If you're making a large pitcher, though, it's needful to use. This is exactly the same design as those I've bought over the last 20+ yrs. The cloth is nicely thick. Seams are even and well done. The handle is quite sturdy. It's working perfectly for me. Well made and served my needs. Wish there was a replacement mesh but still a good product.

The tea filter works as it is designed and marketed. It replaces those little tea leaf holders that don't hold much which results in weak tea. My biggest gripe is the tea filter it took over a month to arrive, but that may be the problem of going through customs. I would recommend the product to those who love loose tea and want to brew a strong pot of tea.

Making Thai tea getting all the excess leaves out can be time consuming and difficult … this really helps get the job done quickly and efficiently. I love it! Nice quality, easy to use and good value. For as long as I make Thai tea I will continue to purchase this item.

Some may complain about the fabric staining, but as tea is a natural dye - I'm not sure why anyone would expect it to go back to being pure white after use. Cleaning is also straight forward - once cooled, squeeze out the remaining water (not into your tea as this will make it more bitter), push the net inside out and most will fall out in a lump. Then spray from the inside out and only a few leaves here and there may need to be removed by hand.

Absolutely amazing! I love making Thai tea with Cha Trang Mue but I didnt have a tea strainer so there was always bits of tea leaves in my milk tea. With this strainer its so easy to make and no more tea leaves! Easy to clean too.

Seems sturdy, durable, and well made. Zipper and mesh appear to be of good quality. Frame very solid. Easy to disassemble and reassemble. Have used several times now and works well. Worked better than fine wire mesh strainer I had been using. Just be aware that it will stain, which is to be expected when straining tea, especially Thai tea.

These filters are much better made than I thought they would be. A stainless steel frame and high-quality filter cloth. As others have noted, these are large, intended for brewing large containers of tea. They will work in regular-sized teapots, but you will have to adjust how much of the filter is submerged in the water. Considering this came from Thailand, shipping was quick. 5 weeks from Thailand to Northern Canada. I very much recommend this product.
