Works great for BMW F30 w/ N20 engine
There are a lot of these type of replacement PCV components out there for the BMW F30's with N20 engines. This one has the correct size spring and the diaphragm material seems to be just like the stock one. Beware of other ones out there with bigger, stronger springs, they won't work, but this one does! Make sure when installing it, you press the cap down and push the tabs in to seat the cap completely.

The hungry seagull apparently got hungrier...
Replaced item without damage to surrounding tube. Sealed it well, without clogging/blocking the inside rift. Fit like a charm. Easy work. HOWLING GOT LOUDER! The situation is worse with this cheap part, after a well done installation. Bought the whole valve cover to replace it after this disappointment. Wouldn't know unless I tried this method first ๐คท

Does not seem to work. 2013 335i n55.
This did not work for my 2013 335i n55 F30 BMW. Looks completely different than OEM as well. It seems to be a very tight fit so I tried to run it without any gasket sealant. Now I get a constant squeal instead of random. So I tried it again with gasket sealant. Same thing... constant squeal with rough idle and check engine light instead of random squeal/whistle. Now I cant drive my car because this made things worse with the constant squeal.

Fixed my PCV for cheap.
This was a good fix. So many things I didn't know about my 2012 BMW 535i. Lots of YouTube videos about PCV replacement. Some truths some not. I changed my PCV, not because of poor engine performance, but because of the weird "seagull" squeal at idle that came and went. I thought it was a bad bearing in something. I saw a video on YouTube and it documented the noise exactly and traced it to crank seals sucking air past, due to incorrect PCV operation. Truth. Another video said vacuum sucking when removing oil cap is sign of bad PCV. Not Truth. A warm engine will have vacuum under oil cap with good PCV. My test concluded that a vacuum leak on the PCV nipple shows a bad PCV. Other test might be necessary to prove out the whole system bud this one caused me to order the repair kit. The new replacement PCV cap fits very tight after I carefully removed the old one. The YouTube videos are invaluable to explain this. After installing the new cap with some silicone sealant and a rubber mallet I waited 12 hours and tested the car. Perfect. No leaks and no "Seagull" noises. $25 fix instead of $250 valve cover. Very happy.

Garbage- advertized to be for r56 mini cooper no way this is
This is not even a part for any mini cooper. I can not click 0 starts or even 1 star for some reason. Absolutely useless part that in no way fits the cars in the discription. See the pics I added. The diaphram is an extra inch larger this is for a completely different car and not for a r56 mini cooper

This is a temporary fix. Lasted about an hour. You need to replace the entire valve cover.
Worked perfectly for about an hour. After that, same problem. I'll be sending it back.
