The translator is a good tool for what I need while traveling and talking to people. I wishnit would have more phrases options in it. Overall, it is an efficient product.

This translator is horrible in my opinion. Maybe it is just really poor for the language I am trying to translate to and from, Korean. I typed in numerous words in English and Korean and it recognized a couple of them. I can understand the translator not being able to find every word you could think of, but I put in several very basic, everyday words. E.G. "Earth" came up as "Not recognized." I typed in several Korean words from Korean publications I have and it did not recognize any of them. Supposedly this translator has 400,000 words. I don't know how in the world it came up with that number. The keypad is excellent, very easy to type Korean characters which are arranged by syllables very smoothly. There is also a very nice soft case included with this product. But the fact that it doesn't hardly recognize any words makes these couple of features and the whole unit itself absolutely worthless. The way you switch 'to' and 'from' languages is incredibly clumsy and inconvenient as well. Needless to say, I would not recommend this translator to anybody and I doubt even getting another Franklin branded item because of this piece of junk.

My franklin fr tbg612 appears to be a nice product But, alas, I can't make it work. I just wanted Italian to English. But it's got lots of other things on it. The manual is tiny, and for a 77 year old man, I just have given up. Anyone who knows how to use the confounded thing, please let me know. I'm [email protected] I'm going back to my Lingo, which is limited, but it works. I wouldn't buy this unless you have a young person's eyesight. Too few words. I expected a more sophisticated vocabulary. Simple words are all there, but I needed something more ellaborated.

Product does not translate the simplest of phrases. Inaccurate translation when it does come up with something. Vendor was contacted 2 weeks ago for return and hasn't responded.

This translator is using very old technology (built in 2006) and has a very limited library. I tried to use it while reading German and it could not find 80% of the words. In many cases it gave me the most stupid suggestions, for example asking to translate "ausarten" (meaning to degenerate), the program suggested the words amusierten or aussuchten or Ausfahrten or Aussichten ... nothing close and it took a few seconds to come up with this. Maybe I can use this "toy" when I go to Russia or Korea just to ask where the bathroom is, very sad : (
