Theory Time: Workbook Series - Theory Fundamentals Grade Two

Solid program but a bit too easy in the beginning
My 8 year old son started with this series. Do far just on chapter 6. The lessons are only 4 pages or so and can be done pretty quickly do sometimes he does two lessons. The difficulty level seems pretty uneven- some are incredibly easy and others a decent challenge. His teacher chose the series so we will keep it up as we want more technical knowledge for our son.

Solid throughly written curriculum
Great curriculum. Very throughly written . Would suggest teachers use all year long in lessons. Started my students in August/ September and barely got done in time for Festival in February. Note: teachers key is very small print and challenging to read for older eyes!

Great Help for Beginners!
As an adult and a beginning piano player, I found this Theory Book invaluable. It is geared for a child but when you are just starting out and virtually know nothing, it was invaluable.

Good content
The book is good, but the cover fell off after using it for a bit. My child was not that rough with the book, just didn’t hold up well. Content was good for the book.

My students really enjoy this series of theory books--I've used several different books
My students really enjoy this series of theory books--I've used several different books. I teach multiple stringed instruments lessons. Any voice or instrument student that reads treble and/or bass clef will learn something from these. I would like a little more explanation in some areas but for the casual learner, these are great books. The kids have no problems getting through the exercises even if some are a little confusing.

Excellent supplement to Piano as well
These are an excellent supplement and review to piano theory. They are easy to use, fun and include many pages. The layout is crisp and clean and inviting. The Fun pages are truly fun, and they are very affordable. We purchased the Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory and while it does move faster, it doesn't have enough practice or review for things to stick. This has plenty of both.

Same content as Grade 1 book in this series
Upon receipt we were disappointed. After having completed the "Grade 1" book in this series, the Grade 2 is hardly any different covering almost the same basic concepts (circle the bar line, write a quarter note etc)
