2.25" center hole
These have an 2.25" hole not a 2" hole as advertised. They'll go on any bar for sure but they wobble around more than any ive ever seen. even at $25 for 45lbs these were not a good deal. Skip them. Finish on mine looked good.

Gray is the new black.
I've owned gym equipment of various levels of quality, including Troy, Rogue, Elite FTS, Titan and CAP. My go to for cast plates is typically the Troy USA Sports line of plates, but it's just too hard the justify the cost of shipping when these CAP plates are available with Prime.I'm fully aware that cast plates have +/- several percent deviation from stated weight, and it's been reported that CAP are notoriously egregious in this regard. I'm also aware that the center hole is nowhere near the IPF 50mm spec. If that's what your after, buy calibrated, machined steel plates and pay out the yin-yang. These things don't bother me, since I understand that's what $1/lb gets you. What I don't love, however, is new finish on these plates. A few years ago, CAP plates were painted a simple flat black. Nothing fancy, but they were consistent and easy to grip. The new finish appears to be some type of baked on enamel, and is certainly not black. It's more of a dark gray, and the finish is a much higher luster than previous iterations. Shiny and smooth is great on your sports car, but somewhat suboptimal for slinging 45lb plates around when your grip is fatigued.I took a star off for the goofy finish, but it's otherwise tough to complain about paying ~$1/lb or less shipped.

Terrible uneven plates!
The smaller Cap plates are a complete crap shoot! I'm not even bothered by their inconsistent hole sizes, but what is really unacceptable is the fact that the thickness of the plate through the entire circumference of the plate varies quite a bit leaving unequal actual poundage and gaps between plates as shown on the end plate of my photo.

Everything you've read in reviews is true...
It's true that these are not perfect. The center hole is wide and the shipping was horrible (package completely missing on arrival after first one never arrived [Amazon refunded me on that one]). I'm uncertain of the actual weight but not concerned. In my training log, they are always be 100's. I don't have any issues with them cosmetically, but I have a dirt floor gym and all my stuff is covered in rust or filth. I bought these for $86 and I think they are well worth it. If you're thinking of buying 100 pound plates, be aware that they are really, really heavy. I know that's obvious, but wasn't really thinking about how hard they are just to move around the gym and I'll probably only use these on deadlift since I wouldn't want to have to try to load a squat bar or bench with them.

Cheap olympic plates
CAP used to make really nice plates a long time ago. Now they mostly make cheap crap, sourced from China with minimal quality control. Their standard olympic plates come in black or grey. Amazon carries both lines. The prices fluctuate, with different weights from the two lines being randomly cheaper varying week to week.Occasionally, you'll find a deal that's too good to pass up, especially with prime (free) shipping to your door. Keep watch and wait for prices to drop. Be prepared to spend an hour or two with a flap disk sander or a decent file grinding casting slag out of the center hole to avoid scratching the sleeves on your bar. Hole tolerance isn't that great and the holes do run on the large side in my experience.

Decent weight fro the price!
Decent weight, great for home gym. I bought this for my home gym set up, just to do some squat and deadlift. The weights are decent for the price, they are well made, and weighted as stated. To note that I recommend to get two big bumper plates as base while doing deadlift and other ground exercise.Overall worth the price, and weight as stated.

When did Gray become the new Black?
I waited a very long time to add a set of 45s to my CAP Olympic weight set. I had made do by using the smaller plates--not wanting to take the plunge; I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered Black to match the existing set, but got gray. The tag on the plate says otherwise: it reads, "Black". Also, the hole diameter is about 2.25" instead of 2" . . . for people who don't lift, this may be a trivial issue; people who do, understand that the last distraction you need while getting under 300 or 400 lbs and trying to focus is wobbling plates!

You get what you pay for.
As others have mentioned, I ordered black plates - 45 lb, 25 lb, and 10 lb. but they shipped all grey plates with bar-code stickers on them saying they were black. The holes are also significantly over-sized so the plates are very loose on the bar. Basically these are cheap hunks of iron with minimal quality control. You get what you pay for.

Great product
Purchased four 25lbs plates for my home gym. They've been amazing not without some minor wear and tear but its just the outermost coating from dropping them carelessly onto of one another.
