Excellent camera.
I installed this in about 10 minutes on a Rockwood Roo, but the Roo was prewired for the camera. If your rig isn't prewired, there are extra steps you will need to take to make this work for your setup but those are outlined in the install instructions. For the prewired Roo, it already had the black fin plate attached to the back of the rig so I didn't have to drill or caulk anything and honestly it took more time to lug out the ladder than it did to install this whole setup. The first step is to pair the camera with the monitor, which was pretty easy. Plug in the monitor to the cigarette lighter/adapter in the car, then plug the camera into the split wire connection (the monitor power wire has a split connection that you plug the camera into), turn the monitor on and it pairs. You may have to hit the menu button on the side of the monitor and select pairing, but the whole process was very simple.Second step was to install the camera. On the Roo there is a black attachment at the top of the back of the rig that looks like the case the camera is in but without the camera. Essentially you remove the camera from the factory case and mount it in the case already on the rig, which is very easy. On the RV case there is a small plate where the camera mounts which is held on by 4 screws, just unscrew the plate but don't lose the screws because they are very small. Then remove the camera from the case it is installed in and plug the camera into the wire preinstalled in the rig, push the wires back into the case on the rig, then attach the camera with the 4 screws. It is really very easy if your rig already has the black fin case already attached. Finally, adjust the camera to the angle you want and you are set.The monitor attaches to a suction cup which then attaches to your windshield. The monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter/adapter for power. I added a small velcro strap to the wire to bundle it.Overall it has excellent picture quality and is very easy to install and easy to adjust the camera angle. You just "click" the camera up or down by moving it and it stays in place. It does not move at all even when going over rough roads.I used it while driving and had no issue with picture loss and everything was real time. I could see cars coming up on either side of my rig without having lag issues. Also I did not have to "mirror" the image. Cars coming up on the left appeared on the left of the screen, cars on the right appeared on the right, no problem at all. You would just have to double check your connection to see if you would need to mirroe the image. Now for the "CONS". The monitor and the power cord. I hate cords hanging all over the place and this cord is long. I just used a velcro strap to bundle the excess wire and it seemed to work fine but because they used a bulky ciagrette lighter type adapter plug, it stuck out and kept getting in the way until we got use to it being there. I wish they would have thought about using a USB cord to power the monitor because then I wouldn't have had the huge adapter getting in the way. Honestly though, that would be my only real complaint.Overall the camera and monitor are an excellent addition to my rig. My only suggestion or recommendation to Furrion is to work on making this iphone/android compatible so that the monitor setup could be replaced using a phone or tablet. But again, this is a great setup for my rig.

Excellent backup camera for my 5th Wheel
I recently purchased a new trailer that came with a backup camera installed. Unfortunately it was almost impossible to get the camera to operate without the software dropping and when it did the image quality was of very poor quality. After research I found that the Furrion Vision 5 received excellent reviews.Setup could not have been easier, even though I had to replace the old camera mount with the new one and clip and connect the new wires to the power source. Picture is amazing on 7" monitor and did not drop out on my short test run. Makes backing up a 5th wheel so much easier and being able to see behind the trailer when on the road is great peace of mind. Sure there were some minor negatives, especially the fact that the mounting screws in the kit were not as listed in the installation manual but a quick trip to Ace fixed that. Extremely satisfied!

Very helpful for safety on the road
Installed on new travel trailer that was pre-wired Furrion. Super easy set-up, the other reviews representing that are not wrong. Highly recommend for anyone used to rear view monitoring on the road - I'm not used to looking in the mirror and seeing nothing but a "wall of trailer"... Changing lanes with confidence makes for drama free driving, naturally it's tough to make out whether Smokey's on your tail, but you can see enough to avoid others traversing the road. I also have a very tight parking place for the trailer on the side yard - about 3' of clearance total (2' one side, 1' the other) with a sloped approach as backing in. With my lovely bride (the spotter) the camera helps a ton. You can only hear your spotter when they're relatively close but if you can get them to raise the voice volume that's solvable, it's just that the bride fears I will stomp the gas and run her down... (despite my promises that I won't, I like her too much). The monitor is very good, clarity is excellent. My only recommendation would be that the camera come with a clip so that it can be mounted over the rear view mirror. Daytime on the dash there's always glare - don't get the small monitor if you can afford it, the 7" is far better. I'll get to work to rig something up so it can go over the mirror.

Good system, only a few issues, still recommended
Review of 7" Vision S with rear camera. Installed easily in my preconfigured RV. Paired immediately without intervention, but this rear camera showed up on the Door camera channel. A call to the manufacturer revealed it had been incorrectly paired at the factory, and needed re-pairing for the correct channel. Remove from RV, plug into Y-power connector (the plug that is part of the 12V cigarette lighter cord), go through pairing sequence and remount the camera. The step of connecting to the Y-power connector is NOT in the manual, and I recommend checking the pairing using this plug before mounting.Once paired, it appeared in the correct (rear) channel and operated very well. A few minor issues:-- signal strength is weak. My camera is 41 feet from my dash to the back of the RV, and two out of four bars is what I saw. However, that signal strength was sufficient for the system to operate satisfactorily.-- monitor display is dim, even when brightness is turned up all the way. Brightness is set per camera channel, not overall. I did not operate at night, so cannot comment on the autodim feature. A dim monitor makes it hard to look behind the RV in sunlight.-- the monitor ball mount is extremely stiff, making it hard to mount and dismount the monitor.-- the windshield mount does not permit the monitor antenna to be fully vertical in my 2017 F150. I ended up using the table mount on the dash.Overall, I'm happy with this system.
