I can't praise this product enough- I wish 6 stars were available.This is a "Made in USA" product that is made in the way we all wish we could expect- the way "Made in the USA" promised and delivered, many years ago.I avoided the multi-can hopper style crushers, because of the reports that they tend to jam up, or fail over time. More complicated engineering often leads to poor performance or early failure. Simple can be good.This device is very simple, but also very well engineered. I'm an engineer- I appreciate something made well, and built to last. This is one of the few products I've seen, in the past many years, built to that vision. Very refreshing.The few metal parts are high quality stainless steel, that has not rusted in my hot, humid environment in Hawaii. The plastic parts are made from high quality thermo plastic, not the cheap brittle plastic that you are familiar with, and they are gusseted for strength, and nearly unbreakable. The engineering is impeccable.I expect many years of use from this crusher. I've been using it for 6 months, and can tell you that I can easily crush 30 or 40 cans per minute, loading one can at a time by hand. The crushed cans drop neatly and accurately into my 5 gallon bucket container, 3 feet below. I'm skeptical that anyone can do better, with the multi-can hopper style crushers, especially given their tendency to jam up.Bottom line: I don't think you can do better.Great product. These designers deserve congratulations- I wish they worked on all my household essentials.UPDATE AFTER 3 YEARS:Still going strong, after thousands of crushed cans. Great engineering, lasting quality.UPDATE 11/2015:After 4 years of hard use, the pull handle grip failed on this unit- I was able to cobble a quick replacement from 1/2" PVC pipe. I emailed the manufacturer easypullproducts , and they immediately mailed out a replacement handle at no charge.After 4 years and thousands of cans crushed, I could already write this off as a good purchase- But this sort of personal customer support is just so rare- I hope my review will result in increased sales, because we need companies like this, who produce well designed quality products, and back them up with great and very personal customer support-So rare, so welcome.UPDATE After = 10 Years =My original 2011 crusher finally failed after >10 years of hard daily use and thousands of cans easily crushed.Nothing actually broke (the HDS frame is bulletproof), but one of the pivot pins lost it's cap and came loose. I could probably get a new pin & cap from Dial Industries, and I have made a temporary fix with a 1/4 inch bolt, but I prefer to support this fine US manufacturer by purchasing a whole new unit.This is a great product made by great engineers. There are similar knock-off products available, but why take a chance when I already know that this company's products are so well made? I mean, when do you expect a $30 tool to last over 10 years of hard use?PS: as many have noted, this crusher is designed for standard 12oz beer/soda cans- taller cans won't fit. Some of the new "slim mini" 8oz cans soda/juice cans will fit with a little push, they are only slighly taller than the standard 12oz, but 16oz and tall Coors 12oz cans will definitely not fit. Not a problem for me- 99% of the cans I crush are standard 12oz.

Great can crusher, like that it dumps the can for you which makes smashing a little faster and easier. Wish it could do larger cans.
