You'll see the "spade" part of this micro USB plug is longer than usual (it's 8mm to be exact), and the hard plastic case around the "spade" in nice and thin. Which is exactly what you need if your mobile (or other device) is a chunky rubberised thing designed to survive environments that would destroy most mobile phones. The plug has to be long enough to get through the casing and connect with the terminals of the device.I've marked them at 4 starts for durability and not 5.. This is not the manufacturers fault but a design flaw; when using this type of connector on this type of device. It's fraught with problems. The phone in the picture often gets knocked off the desk or bench where it's charging - it always seems to land on it's USB socket end and the "spade" of the micro USB plug bends and becomes useless. But on the up side, it's better that the "spade" on the cable bends and takes the impact, rather than it damaging the charging port on the phone (which used to happen with the old mini USB plugs on earlier similar devices). So it scores well in helping protect the durability of the device. It's the right thing to have.I've given it only 4 on value for money, because although there are two in this pack, and they are impossible to find in the major high street retailers (so much for competition creating choice!) the £1 and €1 shops tend to sell them at a £1 or €1. So I think you have to accept that you are paying for the availability and convenience here on Amazon. Which, in my case, I'm happy to do.So all-in-all the right product and a good buy.

I have a BV6000 rugged phone that a normal 5mm micro USB end will not fit into. These leads are 8mm long at the micro USB end and fit firmly without wobble. The cable is nice and thick and I assume the charging copper wire is a thicker gauge to reduce resistance and assist faster charging.

This is the first lead that does not fall out due to it's long tip as with the rigid phones it's hard to get the ends to stay in properly

My partner has a mobile with a case that makes it difficult for the USB to go in and stay in. These have a wee bit extra length on the USB tongue and go in with her having to remove the case. We keep on in the house (recharging) the other in the car (Android Auto).

Within 4 months of purchase the tips of both charger wires had come out of their casing, rendering them unusable.Very poor quality. Very disappointing.They may seem good value based on price alone, but in essence the poor durability means that they are extremely poor value for money.

Bought this for the extra tip length to charge a phone that has been.....vigourously plugged in in the past so the socket has gone deep. This cable works a treat - it reaches the deep socket and has plenty of length to spare!

It's oast the return date for these or i'd return them. I only just needed to start using it and the fit is terrible. Falls out of the phone socket. I have to push it up against something to stop it coming loose. Cheap. Pound shop cables are a lot better quality.
