I have used this wireless backup camera for about 10 months. It still works great. The wireless install means I didn't have to rig wires through my car. The entire install took maybe 30 minutes - very quick and easy. The solar powered battery is also great - I keep my car parked outside in the sun and have never had to recharge it so far. The resolution of the camera is great for having a clear picture of what is behind my car. This is a must for anyone with an older vehicle that doesn't come with a backup camera. So far, I am very satisfied with this backup camera.

Great warranty service - solid product. Camera works fine as advertised and reviewed by others here. We had an issue with the camera not maintaining consistent sync/connection with the monitor, but the seller responded quickly and with "no hassle" immediately shipped out a new camera unit. That one seems to be working fine and reliably holds a charge (when parked in our building parking garage - which is lit 24x7). One small gripe is that the camera + solar battery is slightly wider than the spacing of the license plate screws (for USA application) and partially blocks the access to the screws. This makes mounting the unit a little more awkward than it needs to be. We mounted the camera at the top of the license frame immediately below the pull handle for our but still-reliable Toyota Matrix. In order to access the pull lever, I had to attach a small strip of strapping tape, which I then covered in black electrical tape (for appearance). This allows the rear hatch to be unlocked with a small 'tug' on this little pull strap and so far it seems to work fine. The alternative would be to mount the camera in another location which would have resulted in an abysmal, clunky appearance on the rear of the car that I would not and could not tolerate long term. We've only had this a month and don't drive the car more than once or twice a week, so I cannot comment on long-term reliability. The on-screen image appearance and field-of-view is not exactly like an OEM unit, but certainly seems functional and quite acceptable at this price point. And installation is easy (except for the screw spacing issue) thanks to the wireless technology.

I placed the Auto-Vox Solar 3A Plus on a 2001 Toyota Tacoma. Installation of the camera was easy. The monitor placement was a bit more challenging because the curved dash. There wasn’t a flat enough surface to mount the monitor so I had to improvise. I purchased a phone cup holder which was able to accommodate the monitor with stand. This actually allowed me to adjust the monitor depending on light reflection from my windows. The initial attempt at set up did not go smoothly despite following instructions. The monitor did not turn on. I checked out several YouTube videos and confirmed I had followed the set up procedure correctly. When I left to go on an errand, the monitor turned on. Not sure why, but I was elated. I went through the menu and set up the guide. The video quality is spot on. Overall I am very pleased with this back up camera and how this adds a new level of safety to my driving experience.

This wireless backup camera works great. The solar panel keeps the battery charged very well, even during winter. I have not had any charging problems at all. The battery life is impressive and lasts a long time. The image quality is clear, the connection is stable, and installation was simple. Very reliable camera and definitely worth buying.

I got a lot more than I expected from this camera-at a great price. I drive a 2002 Toyota Sequoia. Prior owner wired in a backup camera with a monitor as big as a playing card and as bright as burnt out bulb. I trashed it and got this one. I’d say the installation was easy but I didn’t read the manual. The camera affixed EASILY to the license plate mount - but I couldn’t open the trunk! Then I affixed it to the bottom screws - view was crystal clear but upside down. Packed it up to return and explained why I was returning it. Seller responded immediately, giving clear instructions on how to flip the image. So I unpacked it, mounted it to the bottom license plate screws, turned on the ignition, pushed the menu button-TAH DAH- perfect rear view: long, wide, bright and clear. (So then I looked at the instructions manual. And there was the instruction for flipping the image. Duh). So: get it- get great customer service, great product, great price. AND: read the instructions.

I purchased the AUTO-VOX Solar Wireless Backup Camera with the 5-inch 1080P monitor, and overall I was very impressed with the product when it was working. Installation was incredibly easy and truly took only a couple of minutes. The camera quality was excellent, with a clear and sharp image both during the day and at night. The wireless connection worked well, and the solar charging feature was very convenient. It is a great setup for trucks, trailers, and SUVs, and I was initially very satisfied with my purchase. Unfortunately, after about three months of use, the monitor developed a strong burnt smell and stopped working completely. It smelled like an internal electronic component had burned out. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price of the system. If the monitor had continued to work, I would have easily given this product 5 stars because the camera performance and ease of installation were outstanding. However, due to the monitor failure after only a few months, I have lowered my rating to 3 stars. This is a very good camera system, but I am concerned about the long-term reliability of the monitor. I would love to replace it, but I am hesitant to spend that much money again if the same issue could happen.

The wireless backup camera was easy to install on a 2010 Hyundai Gensis Coupe 3.8 car. I was a little skeptical about it being wireless because of how much lag there would be but to my surprise it doesn't have that much, very minor. The video through the 5" monitor is clear and the on/off switch is on the car adapter, which I like. Easy to back out and into parking spots and view what's behind. I do have some recommendations and tips about mounting the camera, plus it's use. I would recommend getting anti-theft screws, which can be bought in/on Walmart or Amazon so the camera doesn't get stolen. The second thing is, since this is powered by Bluetooth I think, there will be interference in some places where there is wireless traffic in the air. So, that means the video playback will lag and not be smooth. Once you're out of that zone, it will go back to normal and it won't harm the camera (just want to give ya'll reasurrance). Also, if you don't want to use the mount it came with that adheres to the dashboard, you can buy a regular 3rd party Garmin mount, unscrew the ring clamp, remove the base, and snap on the suction cup mount. Another reviewer did this and it really works. The last thing is the camera isn't center on the back of the license plate, so it will be off by an inch or two on your back-up monitor. Overall, I recommend getting this camera for non-tech savvy people or people who don't want install cabals in their vehicle and anyone who just wants a good easy to install camera.

Wow!! I have a custom built 2023 Ford Ranger XTL 4x4. What I forgot to have built into it when I purchased the vehicle a couple of years ago was a forward facing camera. I have custom steel bumpers with a extended brush guard, so the front of the vehicle easily can hit a car when parking in a parking space. I had searched Amazon. All the available products were listed as rear parking cameras or replacements for front cameras, which I already had a rear camera with rear parking aid. Even the rear parking aid and rear camera OEM, I, already had, I, wasn't thrilled about because the camera is in the tailgate latch and is useless when you have the tailgate down and I am trying to back up with the truck loaded. I simply can't put into words how thrilled I was to have randomly found a video on YouTube of some Australian guy/bloke/dude who had bought a magnetic rear backup camera from Audio-Vox which he placed on the front of his lifted jeep's FRONT bumper to be able to see forward and beneath the vehicle when his view disappeared as he explored due to the pitch of the vehicle and an approaching hill or stream or whatever. He was ecstatic, me not so much; I wanted something permanently mounted and just knew I'd forget and leave it on and it be stolen in a Walmart parking lot! I half heartedly followed his link to Amazon and was about to leave, but of course we scroll first … thank God, and discovered there were other models and designs. I discovered they also had a TWO camera system which could be permanently mounted which delighted me!! The only thing that worried me was my bumpers are custom as well and also the rear view mirror would be reversed, (mirrored-effect), if placed on the front it would be upside down as I would have to place it on bottom and behind my tag because I only have two screws at the top of the tag. I was also worried that the rear would still be partially obstructed by the tailgate when let down because it would still be somewhat be obstructed when mounted on top of the tag. I read the reviews and ordered reluctantly because the two camera system is marketed for pulling an RV. Then I get the system, only to discover I was missing the double sided sticky tape. I thought this just simply needs to be sent back. THANK goodness, I kept it a bit. Instead I thought I would charge it up and mess around first, still fully intending to send it back. WOW!!! I discovered it had a built in option to reverse or mirror or both. Then I decided to reach out to the supplier then wait 10 days to see if they even replied to let them know I was missing the stickers. I then installed the system. This thing is SUPER simple to install and SUPER nice!! It also can double as a dashcam, (which I already have so now I have two). One to show me AFTER someone has hit me or I them due to a minute or so with the micro monitor being on at first, and this bad boy). The front one isn't going anywhere because of the mounting system that goes behind the tag and the screws go through the front of the tag and through the mounting system. The rear fits so tightly that even without the tape and screws it rests at the BOTTOM of the bumper so the tailgate being down doesn't obstruct a thing, just go into the menu and flip the screen view, (mirror if necessary). On top of this, customer service reached out in hours!! They are sending three stickers double sided stickers instead of the two that are to come with it. Although I've had no problem as is, I am aware my tag could be bent upwards to steal the very high quality camera. When I receive the stickers I plan to place one behind the camera to hold the camera mount to the bumper and one on front of the camera mount to hold the tag to the mount between the mount and back of the tag. The cameras DO NOT work as advertised … they are MUCH better!!! Don't miss this golden nugget in the mist of a river of over marketed junk. These are NO JUNK!!

j'ai enfin trouvé une camera qui me permet de surveiller en permanence ce qui se passe derrière ma caravane sans rupture de réseau , surtout lorsque l'on veut dépasser et se rabattre sans encombre .Facile à installer et à utiliser. Belle image ,fait bien son travail ,même le soir .

Bought to have a backup camera for our UTV instead of a wired product. The backup camera has a great picture and adjustable settings to get you what you need. The button to wake it up is great for when you’re driving and want to have a look behind. Install was quick and no issues pairing etc. battery has also lasted a long time, but haven’t tested out the solar much as we keep it indoors

What a great system. Installing it only takes a few minutes. I could slide the camera behind the license plate, which took a minute. The monitor can be stuck on the dashboard and can also be removed, but I attached it to the window with a suction cup. I tested the range, and it is definitely 100 meters. The image quality is very good. The operation of the monitor is intuitive. When you are reversing or overtaking, you just press the button on the connector, and the camera turns on. The camera can also stay on continuously, but then it needs to be charged every 12 hours.
