Exceptionally smooth
This Kagoshima's Finest Organic Ceremonial Matcha isn't the best matcha I've ever had, but it's very good. I wouldn't call it sweet, but it's so exceptionally smooth that I didn't need to add much sweetener to it. Normally I make matcha lattes, but I would also enjoy this plain. This is very balanced with no bitterness or predominantly grassy notes.Since no instructions were given on the 10 gram sample size, I went with my usual preparation. I like a stronger flavor, so I use 1 teaspoon of powder per 8 ounces of water. Be sure to use hot water but not boiling because too hot can cause bitterness. I use a milk frother to mix. I also found that I got some clumps in the bottom of my cup when I didn't sift the powder, so sifting is required to avoid the clumps. This is actually a sign of quality matcha!I found it hard to scoop all the powder out of the sample bag, because of the way the bottom folds. Hopefully, the 40 gram bag is better. I would recommend getting that one because this is good matcha, and the full size is a much better value at this time.

No.
The media could not be loaded. I could not in good conscience recommend this matcha to anyone. On the paper towel photo I have my ceremonial matcha on the left and on the right it’s this brand. Sorry guys even with adding all the emergency fix ins to my matcha latte it was bitter. I would like a refund of the company sees this please give me a refund. Thank you

Strong grassy notes
The matcha powder was fine and a deep rich shade of green. The scent from just opening the package was refreshing. I found it tasted quite grassy, but that’s how I like my matcha. My main disappointment was how this sample sized amount of matcha was packaged. The pouch was huge and with all the creases, it made it hard to scoop out the matcha powder. I feel that for my last cup I will have to pour the water directly into this pouch in order to get all the powder out.

Not my cup of tea
This is really expensive tea. It’s also incredibly bitter - there weren’t any included specific directions so I had to look it up on the internet - and no matter how much I watered it down after the first eye watering sip it was still too much. Perhaps somebody accustomed to this might like it, but I did not.

Amazing Quality
I drink my match in just water and also in the form of a latte. I've tried dozens of different ceremonial grade brands and some are better than others. This one is one of the better ones. There is no bitter flavors so it is extremely smooth flavor profile with very nice subtle floral hints. Tasted great on it's own and the flavor holds up in a latte.

true ceremonial grade
Few matchas actually are authentic Japanese ceremonial grade, but this one ticks all of the boxes. The smell is verdant and almost "creamy". It has the right notes of grassiness without being too alkaline and has a natural sweetness. The powder is a beautiful, bright green color and is very fine and soft. It mixes very well with hot water froths up nicely. It makes an amazing cup of tea.

Deep and nuanced
Was able to make a small latte with what I've been given although very deep and nuanced flavor, it's a bit too expensive for me to genuinely reccomend! Blended real nicely in my steamed milk

Very Good Matcha
I've been a matcha nut for years now. I've tried countless brands, from the most expensive, to the more budget. I drink it plain, and make it the traditional way. This matcha is very good. Of course all matchas taste similar, but slightly different. I've had some more budget options I liked more than some of the most expensive options. What matters is, would I get it again? This one I would. It has a very pleasant taste that I am used to. I like that it's from Japan. It's a good value as well.
