Fully compatible with Lego
Built a couple cars, then took them apart and built new ones, and then did it again. Every time the cars got better and more complex lol. But anyway, these are a great gift, they’re pretty intuitive to use, completely compatible with true Lego brand sets, and honestly are definitely worth the money!

Good alternative - Need 6 x AA and 3 x AAA batteries
Pretty good alternative considering Lego no long make these anymore although obviously it's not as nice looking. I have noticed that since the patent expired and any company can now make compatible building blocks, there has been an explosion of Lepin available to choose from and I don't think it will be long before someone makes a motor kit that will trump even this BriCool one.The kit has a few minor issues but it is cheap and cheerful and can be used creatively with technic. Also good for teaching kids. There is a helpful setup video on the product page if you're unsure how to use this. Would make a great gift for a curious youngster who loves Lego.

Exactly the same as the lego version
This is lan exact copy of the lego system, but at a fraction of the price. Fits and works perfectly, great for motorised lego builds.

A good value and handy set of motors for lego builders who like to modify their models.
The BriCool 6-in-1 Motor Kit is a really handy set of motors that are compatible with Lego. Quite often after building a technic set I like to modify it, or build a MOC that someone else has designed that requires an additional motor(s). This set includes a good range of options, one or two of which I think Lego have now stopped selling. If you like designing and building your own Lego sets, or modifying one to include motorised features, then this motor kit gives you some good options at a great value price.

Well made but with quality control issues
This review is for the 'BriCool 6-in-1 Motor Kit, DIY Motorized Building Set, Power Function Motor Set with M-Motor, Remote Control, Receiver, Battery Box, Extension Wire'The set is a clone of the well known popular brand, and provides very compatible components that are now retired in that brands product range. Plastics used feel very good as do the brick connections. The set in total gives you enough components to create your own remote controlled car.In testing, I was happy with the torque given off by the motors when powered directly by the battery box, but unfortunately was let down by poor quality control when trying the remote functions. Sadly, the only component that was hardwired, the infrared receiver, had a faulty connector wire which only worked under pressure. This pretty much killed my testing as it was such an important component. Also I noticed a strange rattle from the remote, indicating something loosely floating around in the electronics enclosure. These two issues sadly brought my review to an end and with an unusable product, I have to rate this lower than I would have otherwise liked.

Good power function substitutes, in some ways indistinguishable
This is a compact but comprehensive collection of substitutes for Lego’s power function devices, which for myself and my kids were a real stepping stone up from just-following-the-instructions to inventing things that could whir and move. I’ll always be fond of power functions and find them cool, even if Lego themselves seem to be moving away from it for some reason.Power-wise, these work exactly as well as the Lego versions we already had. The battery pack gives out the same amount of power, and our Lego windmill spins at exactly the same speed as with the one provided in the set. Operationally they’re indistinguishable. They weigh more or less exactly the same as well.Visually, there are some subtle differences but they’re very similar. Crucially, the sizes are all the same of course, and there won’t be any space issues with slotting these replacements in to the brick compartments you’ve already made. The main grey tones are nigh-on identical, but subtle differences include the colours of the switches on the remote control, though this may vary depending on which version of the official branded ones you had. And of course, the famous brand name is missing from the small number of classic brick compatible nodes that appear on this set.The pamphlet provided in the box may only be four pages, but it covers the basics and if you have some Technics bits and pieces and this set, it should be enough to get you going with a home-made remote control car, with a couple of good diagrams covering the basics if you’ve not used power functions before.Lego-compatible off-brand items can be hit and miss, but these power functions from BriCool (not a brand I’d encountered before) are good quality.
