Has definitely helped my golf game
I recently started using the golf tempo and grip trainer, and I must say that it has made a significant impact on my golf game. This trainer has helped me improve my swing tempo and develop a consistent grip, leading to more accurate and powerful shots on the course. The design of the trainer allows for a comfortable and secure grip, providing the proper hand placement and alignment. The adjustable settings cater to different swing speeds and strengths, making it suitable for golfers of all levels. I appreciate how durable and well-made the trainer is, as it has withstood regular use without any signs of wear and tear. The immediate feedback it provides has helped me develop muscle memory, resulting in a smoother and more controlled swing. The portability of the trainer allows me to practice anywhere, whether it's at the range or in my backyard. Overall, the golf tempo and grip trainer has been an invaluable tool in my golf training routine, and I highly recommend it to any golfer looking to improve their swing tempo and grip technique.

Fantastic training aid - A must have for any golfer!
Fantastic Training Aid – A Must-Have for Any Golfer! The SKLZ Golf Tempo & Grip Trainer has been an absolute game-changer for my swing. It’s incredibly easy to use—no complicated setup, just grab it and start swinging. The grip trainer is especially impressive; it puts your hands in the perfect position every time, which has really improved my consistency. Also great for all ages, both my young children are able to use it effectively! I’ve also been impressed with the durability—it holds up well even with frequent use, both indoors and outdoors. The smooth tempo it encourages has helped me develop a more natural, fluid swing that translates beautifully to the course. Highly recommend this to golfers of all skill levels looking to refine their fundamentals!

Great for the price - no hesitation recommending for the price , but a few improvement suggestions
I like this trainer for using indoors. I use it my basement in front of the mirror almost daily. I am on the taller side (6'4), and have some danger of hitting my ceiling, so tend not to go too fast in the follow through. This could be fixed with just throwing some foam over the top. Overall it does the trick in allowing me to take some swings inside. I find it easy to use this and work my hips first tempo. I'm not a big fan of the grip trainer portion, as it's just slightly small for me. It does provide a decent guide though. I use it entirely without the extra weight attached. The weight detachment is an awesome feature! Would love it even more if we could even a bit lighter. So recommendation to the product team for this to make this product even more awesome. Have an option with a normal golf grip (no guide). Make the top weight empty even lighter, and provide two or three different weight options to screw in.

Swing Away At Will
This is pretty nifty. I've never seen anything like the innovations that have come along in the sports world - and most especially, about golf - which is the sport I'm most familiar with, and certainly the most interested in. But there just seems to be no end to the new products that have appeared on the scene concerning golf, and it's amazing how one single sport, with a pretty obvious, and seemingly simple, action needed to accomplish it; namely swinging the club to hit the little white ball - is constantly being reworked and upgraded. I was a little skeptical about this, because it wasn't too clear just how a shortened version of a golf club could replicate the swing, but that's what the hype said, so I thought, "Why not try it?". But it does come very close to the feeling you get swinging an actual club, and that's what I was hoping it would do, because I really wanted something to be able to use indoors, in the cold winter months. I'd been using a cut-off shaft with the grip on it, and that's fine for experimenting with the grip, and refining various and sundry moves in the swing, but it doesn't do anything at all for the feel of the swing. In the final analysis, it's the overall feel you get in the swing which registers in your subconscious mind that determines how well you are able to execute the swing, and nothing really takes the place of an actual swing, to relay to your brain how it should feel. I finally broke down and brought a 7-iron in from my bag, to stand in the corner, and use it to remind myself how it feels to do the short-approach chip shots around the green, and sweep the surface without chili-dipping the club. However, even that is fraught with danger, because you always run the risk of getting careless and bashing the furniture - which would definitely make you feel like an idiot. This trainer lets you swing away with total abandon (in the full swing) without the fear that you will clobber a lamp or end table. (Or worse yet - a TV screen!) But it's still prudent to look around first, and make sure you have enough room, because this thing is heavy enough to do a serious number on anything it hits, and so you would be well advised to "look before you leap." At least you don't have to worry about hitting the ceiling; just look right and left, and behind you, to make sure you have enough room. We don't realize just how much room it takes to swing a golf club - which is no big deal outside, but most rooms in the house are simply not big enough to let us swing a club in them - even a shortened version, like this trainer, without being very careful. There are just too many fragile and very breakable things sitting around in close proximity inside the house to be able to swing freely without KOing something. Too bad for us snowbirds to have to lose such a big chunk of the year to the weather - just long enough for all of our hard-won expertise in the swing to disappear over the winter, and make us have to start all over in the spring. But this will at least let us keep our hand in, so to speak, and retain the feel of the swing, which is vitally important to be able to do, but which is virtually impossible in the winter, because we can't actually swing a club. Usually, by the time spring gets here, swinging a golf club feels like a totally alien thing to do, and we have to start from scratch. I really do think it will enable me to get a longer, fuller swing, because our muscles seem to shrink and tighten up as we get older, and we get almost afraid to attempt a full-out swing - possibly thinking that we might hurt ourselves, somehow. Our swing just sort of degenerates down to a feeble, half-hearted attempt, and we wonder why we have lost distance. Of course, when you're young and limber and don't know any better, you equate a hard, fast swing with big distance, but all you usually succeed in doing is driving it deeper into the woods, with a big banana-ball slice off to the right. Truth be told, I don't think I ever really developed a full, lusty swing - on a regular, continuing basis - and this seems to encourage learning to do that. In fact, even though this is the same hand position on the grip that I've been using all along, just swinging this made it seem very easy for me to do a full swing, and a very natural-feeling follow-through, and that has been the biggest problem I've always had, and suddenly it seems easy. For one thing, this is very heavy, and that is probably the reason it feels like swinging a real club. I don't know that it is actually any heavier than a full-size club; it could just be that because it is much shorter, and more compact than a regular club, it only seems heavier. At any rate, it's great, because it enables us to get virtually the same feeling we would get in swinging a full-sized club, and that is terrific to be able to do in the cold weather. But I'm very excited about that, because us old-school, self-taught golfers usually never learned to do a full follow-through, because our momentum was always going the wrong way. We were all arms and shoulders, and never learned to get our body into the swing. This really teaches us how simple it is to do a full swing, and a full follow-through, and just that alone should make up for a lot of the distance we may have lost, simply because we will be hitting with a much improved swing. Maybe by next spring, it'll be securely lodged in my muscle-memory subconscious. Golf is a very strange game, and we work hard to finally develop what we feel is the right swing, only to have it all go away (for reasons unknown) and we revert right back to the bad habits we have developed over a lifetime. That's why I'm pretty happy with this - because it will allow our brain to retain the feel of what the swing should feel like, instead of going for months without our "golf fix." But I think it's going to be a definite boon, and we do need something to fill the void in the cold winter months.

Wow! Best Training tool purchased by far!
At first, I was a little skeptical about purchasing this product but for 25.00 I figured why not. I've been playing now for about 5 years and have always fought a horrible slice with 3wood and driver. I know from learning that it mostly has to do with my outside to inside swing and have been looking for products that could help me with that. I read most of the reviews and decided to purchase it after slicing my way through a round at an indoor golf simulator. After I received the product I found a 2-4 minute video on youtube on how to swing with this club and that's it. I wish there was a training dvd or tips but all I found was one video. This is how I would recommend using the product. I practiced swinging the club for a week or two before I was able to go to the range considering its January and we had our first 50+ day today. When practicing I rarely took the nut out because I like the way the heavier end feels. In the video it says to just swing the club back and forth in a small motion to get the feel of the weight and gradually move to a full golf swing. When swinging a full golf swing I would tell myself to get a full turn and remember to pull down with my left arm (Im right handed golfer) when making my downswing and finish with a strong follow through. I would watch the chrome end of the club as it passed through the strike zone and see what type of swing I was doing....i.e. inside/out or outside/in. I focused on swinging with my left arm and making the chorme end go from the inside to outside. I practiced about 50-100 times a day if my body felt up to it skipping some days if my body felt sore. Well the real test came today when I took the club with my bag to a live range. I warmed up with a few swings and took my driver out as the first club, completely crushing the ball straight as an arrow for 260 yards. Immediate thought- Lucky strike. 2nd drive and its relatively straight about the same distance. I was amazed. My slice was so bad before that it looked like my ball was using a turn signal. My slice did finally appear slightly maybe 20 yards right after around 10 drives. I put down my driver, rested, took a few practice swings with this club and drove it straight again. I would have to say around 90 percent of my drives hit the mark I was aiming for just by using this grip trainer. I'm not saying this is the tool for everyone but I have purchased a lot of training aids and have been completely satisfied with this one. My goal is to keep using this just for muscle memory and for warming up before a round.

I like that it has 2 different weights to use and that it has spots for proper grip placement. However, it's placed to close to the end of the handle. 1/3 of the back of my left hand is off the end of the grip due to this. I don't have abnormally large hands so I would imagine a lot of men would have issue with this. Not a comfortable nor realistic feel due to this. Great product, well made and a good price. Just an issue that needs to be addressed or have multiple sizes.

A great tool to swing around!
I'm a college student who lives in a small dorm room. I have been going out to the field over the summer, but since I came back to the college, I can't even go to the driving range. All the problems were solved with this item. I was planning to purchase SwingRite or something that will help me with my tempo, but I thought that would be too large to swing in this small room. Therefore, I decided to buy this smaller, cheaper tool. I have yet to find out how I can actually get the tempo right with this club, but I am glad I can actually swing something in this small room. It actually is heavier than it seems. You only get two adjustments with the weight: driver and iron. But,that's really all you need. You unscrew the weight in the front of the club to simulate driver, and leave it on for iron. And for wood, it really won't be that much different with driver. The grip on this trainer is pretty decent. I haven't tested out my new grip with my actual clubs, but I feel like my grip is much different and much more comfortable than it used to be. Of course, you will need time to adjust to the new settings, but duh... no pain, no gain? I would recommend this tool to people who won't be able to go out to the field for practice. (It doesn't mean you shouldn't swing this outside...) Overall, a great cheap tool. It will pay off!

Great but could be improved
This is a really good indoor swing trainer for getting reps in pretty much anywhere, and with the molded grip it doesn't take much thought or explanation. I think it would be more effective though if it had a visual representation of a clubhead. Without a clear reference of face angle it's hard to tell if you'd be getting square (although you can feel it through the shaft bend), and it would be nice to have an idea of face angle in relation to swing path at different positions in the swing. Some version of a clubface would also make it easier to rehearse an actual setup and swing from an address position rather than just back and forth...muscle memory is great but won't do much good if it doesn't translate in a real world takeaway. One other easy improvement would be to add another inch or so to the butt of the grip...as it is now an average man's left hand sits on the very end which does not replicate the feel of a normal clubshaft where you have (and want) a half inch or so of space.
