Dissolves completely in wet food
I have a dog who has renal disease and she is a bit of a picky eater in her old age. This phosphate binder works extremely well, it dissolves completely and she doesn’t even seem to know it’s there. Anyone who has had an animal on a special diet knows just how expensive the food is so I’m able to borrow a little bit of food from my other two dogs and mix the phosphorus binder in that food and then mix her dry kibble with that wet food and she eats it all down. It has no smell and apparently the taste is nonexistent or very minimal. It’s a white fine powder that can get on other things, but it’s easy enough to clean up and I think it’s a great value for the money because other products are much more expensive. But always coordinate with your vet so you don’t give them too much or too little. it’s been a process with my girl. But her phosphorus values are coming down as we slowly edge up the amount that she’s getting with each meal my girl gives it her seal of approval. Don’t mind the mess. After three spinal surgeries last year, two of which weren’t expected or planned I’m able to resume cleaning the house, especially now that my flooring is in finally after six months of house disarray.

My Cat Seems to Be Doing Well with This Stuff
Seems to be helping my 19-year-old cat with kidney disease. He is peppier these days, plays with toys, follows me around, attacks the toilet paper roll, and vet says labs are pretty good. Easy to hide the powder in his canned food, and he's a picky eater.

Great phosphorus binder for CKD kitties
I add this to my CKD kitties food and his phosphorus levels are now normal, yippee! I am a soon to be veterinarian and would recommend this as a daily supplement for CKD cats - my senior CKD kitty is VERY picky but does not seem to mind/taste when I add this to his dry food. I use the "shake and bake" method of adding his food to a ziploc baggy with the powder and shaking it to coat it thoroughly. Overall, good product at a great price that helps manage phosphorus intake in pets that require a low phosphorus diet.

Worth a try
UPDATE: Molly went back for follow up labs in September and her creatinine only went up by .01, so this product is definitely helping with the progression of her CKD! Our 9yo tabby recently got dx with early stage kidney disease. The cost of the Rx food is ridiculous, especially with many reviews indicating their cats don't like it. My vet approved us trying this and we've been using it since January. We mix it in with her wet food and add a little bit of water to make it kind of soupy so it mixes better and she hasn't (YET) noticed that there's anything added to her food. We aren't due for labs for a couple of months, but she seems to be doing a lot better since introducing this into her diet.

Effective and Vet Approved Kidney Support
I have been using this for quite a while now and I am currently on my fourth container. The vet is happy with it, the cat tolerates it without any issues, and that makes it easy for me to keep using it consistently. It does tend to clump when mixed into wet food, but adding a little water helps a lot and makes it much easier to blend evenly. Most importantly, my cat’s kidney profile is looking much better, which makes this feel well worth it.
