I have used this stuff forever. I even used it on an exhaust pipe to keep it from rusting during assembly. I never got back to it and years later pulled the pipe to find it mostly unrusted.

Works Great !
Applied this coating to a boat tailor I restored and it lasted for years ! It is applied over bare steel . I use this trailer in fresh and salt water. Acts like a sacrificial anode. Good stuff !

Covered well with one coat and a fair amount of area.

Too soon to know if it will allow the welded area to rust but covered good. Order more than y think you need for good coverage.
