So Far So Good.
I've been replacing the plastic ones for years and finally upgraded. 2nd summer and still working out fine. Also much easier to install than plastic, you can get a deep socket on the nuts.

Great Product for your Pool Stairs
Amazing product to use for your pool handrails. So much easier to get in and out of the pool with these covers than grabbing onto the metal handrails.

Works
The old ladder was...well, it was old and the UV had taken its toll. Its not something that you just snap together and the holes did not exactly line up, but with persistence and patience, I got it together. It fit into the old holes in the deck with no problem (something I was not 100% sure was going to happen). I now have an extra step at the deck level that was not on the old ladder...not a good thing or a bad thing, just a thing.Worked well to replace my old worn out pool ladder for an above ground pool with a deck around it.

Make sure you get the right ones in flare or out flare.
The head of these bolts have an in flare or out flare. I got the wrong type which are out flared. They work fine but are not flush with my ladder.

Excellent!
I called a local pool store to inquire about replacement steps for my pool ladder, which had one really worn out step and one missing step when we bought the house earlier this year. The pool store guy asked me the ladder brand - I didn't know. He asked me the age of the ladder - I didn't know. I asked him if I could look at/try out what they have to see if it will fit - he doesn't carry them in stock; only special-orders them. Told me without knowing the brand and/or age of my pool ladder, it would be really difficult to get the right step.I looked at amazon and found this pool step, which looked like it would work. I ordered two pool ladder steps. The whole process took about 5 minutes...The steps fit perfectly and look great. Only hassle in install process was removing the old, worn out step (I wound up using a hack saw to cut the old step off close to the bolts holding it to the ladder, then I was able to get enough grip on both nut and bolt to remove them). Installation of new steps was waaaay easy. The steps appear to be very durable and I expect years of service from them.I chose not to purchase the expensive (about $20) amazon-suggested add-on set of nuts and bolts for the ladder. Instead, I went to my local big box home improvement store and picked up what I needed for a fraction of this amount. So, thanks amazon for turning this quantum physics-like problem at the pool store into a fast and easy shopping experience!

Ladder itself is great
Ladder is great and easy to install. However, you have to buy the anchors separately. Our anchors didn't come with screws, so you may have to purchase those as well.

Maybe some quality control issues.
Needed longer bolts for my pool ladder repair. Bag came in quickly, no issues (so I thought). Tossed bag on ladder steps I bought separately and a month later when I went to install everything and begin opening pool for season, I discovered the bag had FIVE bolts, not six…..Yup FIVE. I crawled around yard, garage, pretty much everywhere for an hour thinking I was an idiot and dropped it, even though my wife watched me cut the bag open outside. Ladder is rigged for now on one bolt. Thanks.
