Fantastic Quality & Value
This is an incredible 2-in-1 cast iron piece! The 5-quart Dutch oven is perfect for stews, braises, and no-knead bread, while the lid doubles as a skillet for searing, frying, or cornbread. Pre-seasoned right out of the box, it heats evenly, retains heat beautifully, and performs great on the stovetop, oven, or grill. Food releases easily, cleanup is simple (hand wash and oil if needed), and it's built tough without the high price tag of premium brands. Great for family meals, indoor or outdoor cooking, super versatile and reliable. If you're looking for an affordable, high-performing cast iron Dutch oven, this one is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

This 6.6 quart cast iron Dutch oven with the dome lid and sturdy handles is hands-down one of my favorite kitchen purchases. I LOVE this thing. It’s heavy-duty, versatile, and so well-made. I’ve used it for everything—braising, short ribs, baking artisan bread, making hearty stews, slow-cooking chili, roasting a whole chicken, and even deep frying. The dome lid helps lock n moisture and flavor beautifully, and the size is just right for family meals or meal prepping. The handles are solid and made easy to fit, even it it’s completely full. What’s even better? It’s surprisingly easy to clean. After it cools down, I just rinse it with warm water and use a soft brush or non-abrasive sponge—no soap needed to maintain the seasoning. For stuck-on-bits, a little coarse salt scrub works like a charm. I always make sure to dry it thoroughly and apply a light coating of a light, neutral oil like olive oil or almond oil before storing to keep it in tip-top shape. If you’re on the fence about this, just get it—you’ll thank me later for sure!

Great Value
Love this Dutch oven for baking sourdough bread. I have two of them. Great quality and perfect size. The lid can also be used separately as a skillet. I'm definitely a fan of cast iron, but for those who have never used cast iron, you must take care of it properly or it will rust. If you take care of it properly, it will last a lifetime.

Dutch Oven
This is a very good Dutch Oven . Dimensionally the same as the Lodge I bought before I bought this one . Lids and everything interchangeable and it’s well seasoned . As with all cast iron you need to re-season it after every use . I like this one because I can use the lid as a skillet . The handles seem a little small but that’s not a big issue . I have big hands ! Yes I would recommend this Dutch oven to my friends . Happy cooking ! I just made a chicken in this Dutch oven on my Stove top . Came out great , it’s delicious . Chopped onions and squash and a 5 pound chicken with my Peruvian seasoning and 1 1/2 hours ; Wow 😮 ! Ate my fill put the rest away and washed out the Dutch oven and the lid , reasoned it and ready to go next time . Should last a lifetime .

Nice Cast Iron
Its a nice pot and lid. Cast iron is always the best to cook with. There is a learning curve. Once you take the time to educate yourself, you will be happy. Kind of like driving a car. You learn, then do. Its fun or you crash. Good size, perfect for cooking. Why 4 stars? The casting was very rough. It was like a smooth 24 grit. I had to do more finish work to the inside with an 80 grit rotary scotch brite pad to make it more smooth, enjoyable to cook and clean and usable so food didn't stick like velcro. After the cleanup to the inside, a fresh season, works like a charm. Love it. I also love the dual purpose lid! For all those who say Cast Iron rusts...Its cast iron, it will rust. If you don't know much about it, look up, YT has tons of videos on how to care for it. Educate yourselves before you blast a product you know nothing about. You do not wash it then leave it on the counter to dry. You don't run through the dishwasher. You wash with salt, water and a scraper then heat up on stove when done so you don't loose your seasoning. What is seasoning...the oil layer with baked in flavor that enhances your food. If you want EASY, go to your cheap big box store and buy the chemically layered non-stick pans and use them with steel spatulas.

Great size and great price
This pot heats evenly and does a great job with soups, stews, and sourdough bread. It feels sturdy without being overly heavy, and the lid fits well to retain moisture. It’s a nice size, not massive but big enough for cooking most meals feeding 3-4. Easy to clean, great value, and very versatile—great addition to my kitchen.

Great little workhorse for microbakery!
I bought one of these 3.4 quart Dutch ovens early in my sourdough bread baking process. This summer, I started growing my baking into a business and ordered a second one so that my loaves would bake the same (previously had one oval ceramic cast iron I would use for one loaf). When I needed to bake four loaves at the same time, I ordered two more! They are just the right size and weight (not too heavy) and easy to wrangle in and out of the oven. I can place all four on one rack in my regular electric range oven. Good quality. The one thing I would change is the handle on top. A welded cast iron handle or knob would be nice. The heating loosens the screw all the time. One of these days, I will probably drop one due to the handle unscrewing itself.

Like that the top is a skillet so I can use like a fry pan. Keeps great heat, I'm cooking everything in it at the moment.

I bought an expensive enamelled dutch oven for my sour dough loaves but after every bake it would get dark spots all over the outside of it, even though I would scrub it immaculately before putting it in the oven. Then I saw someone suggest to use non enamelled cast iron pot and this price was so excellent that I thought I would give it a try. Very happy with my bread results. Great size for a loaf and well made. Someone mentioned that the knob was plastic but mine is not, it is cast iron and held up well in a 450 degree oven. It did have a smell when heating it in the oven at first. I would recommend for first use to heat and cool it maybe once before actually using.
