Wet weather riding and value for the $
I've had very good service from Shinko tires on my previous Triumph Speedmaster with near 20K from the front tires and 11-12K from the rears over roads as different as Deal's Gap and the Tail of the Dragon and the Blue Ridge Pkwy. and Skyline Drive. The set of 009 Ravens are going on my Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V which is a heavier bike with about double the rear wheel HP as the Triumph so I'm upping the anty to the 009 Ravens, which Shinko claims is their longest wearing tread while still having good wet and dry traction. The seller, Chrome World, out of Delaware got the tires to me in 2 days and they aren't old shelf inventory as they were manufactured in S. Korea in July of '22 7-8 months ago.

For the cost.
5 stars only because NO tire gets great mileage on motorcycles anymore.

Great mileage!
I replaced a set of Michelin Road 5 with these Shinkos and will never use a different tire than the Shinko. I'm going on 15,000 miles on my front tire and got 10,000 out of the rear on my FJR1300Great bang for the buck!

A lil slim
I brought a 200 not as big as I expected.. haven’t put em on pavement yet… but doubt if they last the season

Best commuter tire ever
These are by far the best bang for your buck tire out there. I've almost exclusively run these tires on my 2015 cb500f since the dunlops that came on it wore out. I tried a contimotion once and hated it so I went right back to a Raven. I've had anywhere from 12k-18k miles on a rear tire but generally it's around 14k or 15k that I start getting closer to the wear indicators and 18k is running it nearly to the chords. I've had 8 of these on the rear and 2 on the front over 137k miles. First front is pictured and just hit the indicators and was replaced at 96k miles on the tire!! If you only turned right, it'd keep going though thanks to the cupping haha. Needless to say I put another one on the front. As for performance. Eh, it's a good sport touring tire and yeah I can scrape my pegs around a corner with these on but hard cornering doesn't feel the best on these. You won't find a better tire for commuting though if you want milage out of your tires. I've ridden in over 100°F and as low as about 25°F, through a category 2 hurricaine, down dirt roads, in sand, in grass, on garbage pavement, on fresh pavement and probably more. It does the job and doesn't complain, definitely a go ANYWHERE tire. Just be careful with paint though, I've slid around plenty on crosswalks and the word stop before a stop sign if going downhill but aside from paint they've always held on for me.If you're thinking about saving a few bucks and want miles but don't really knee drag much then pick these up and never look back

I love these tires
I have been using Shinko tires for years. great value for the price. they last as long as the Michelins and actually balance with less weight than the name brands. buy with confidence.

Surprisingly good performance for a low-cost tire
I was forced to replace my rear tire while on a tour on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was limited to what I could find within about 20-30 miles, and the Shinko 009 Raven was the only option (and in a too-small 180/55-17 for my 2008 Kaw C14). After a bit of break in I realized what a great tire the 009 was...and even liked the "shorter wheelbase" kinda feel of the smaller tire. So when the front went, I decided to try one. It works great for me; does everything I want it to do performance wise (and I do scrape the pegs from time to time), is great in the rain (which worked out this past season), and so far the rear has worn very well. Not too rough over bumps, not too bad a tendency to follow rain grooves. I never thought I'd like a Shinko tire, coming from Pirellis and Avons, but why pay more? To impress? These tires do everything I ask of them, and last well in the process.

It's a good tire!
This seems to work really well as a replacement for the stock tires on a 2016 Suzuki Bandit 1250. So far, so good!
