It will be interesting to see if the software is developed to improve these features. But regardless, they are great functions at this price point and an excellent starting point to see what drones are capable of. A curious niggle is that you must use the propriety USB cable to connect your device to the controller. This surprised me as it’s not the case for DJI controllers that require a phone for a screen. Overall its a good drone at this price point that gives you the options to dig into settings if you want to, so great for learning things. Just don't expect to get the same results as a drone with similar specs but costs a lot more. With a bit of effort you can get close though. It’s a good drone with room for improvements
This is an almost very good drone but its not quite there yet for several reasons. Potensic Atom 2 - improved camera & controller
Potensic Atom 2 has an improved controller compared to the original Atom, with more robust signal range, 2 function buttons and 2 thumb wheels for camera angle & zoom. The camera is also higher quality with improved low light performance.

Drone
Newbie to the drone world and had the first flight today ( in beginners mode ) and enjoyed it, straight forward to set up, it flew well very stable and seemed very responsive. Flight time was around about 25 / 30 minutes, liked how the battery percentage also told you how much flying was remaining. Overall build quality seemed good, very impressed with the quality of the camera.

Great drone, aftercare offer a bit iffy though
I write this having had the Atom 1 before and a DJI mini 2. The atom 1 was a great drone, fast with intuitive software. The DJI mini 2 was supposedly better, but I didn’t find it to be particularly so. This, however, is a significant advance on both. I flew it 4km away from me, and back. It arrived back with 20% battery. The camera is super controllable with zoom capability, the software was easy to set up and use, configurable. Video feed and RC connection were rock solid, even 4k away. This is a massive improvement on my previous 2 drones. A huge upgrade. Just a note- you are offered “potensic care” on setup, with 48 hours to activate it. For £69 you can get 2 years cover, with 4 flyaway events and subsidised repairs for crashed drones. The offer puts you in a position to buy it, but Potensic aren’t clear enough about the cover. Only after purchase did I learn that each flyaway would be £120 to get a replacement and repairs £35 (as I recall). I don’t think this is great value for money and had I known this I would not have purchased this. Overall though, an excellent purchase.

Perfect Intermediate Drone
An excellent drone and easily comparable to the DJI Mini 4 pro but less than half of the price . Yes you sacrifice obstacle avoidance but the night vision quality for night flying is much better , the fly more kit has by far the most spare props I've seen in a kit , 3 fast charging batteries with over an hour of real world flying. My flights average 24mins x 3 = 1hr 12mins . One of the best tracking drones I've used better than my Neo and Flip . It's a very good next step up from a basic drone to enhance your flying and camera abilities and can take some pretty rough handling I hit a large chimney stack , it fell 60ft bounced on the concrete. After replacing a couple of Props it was back up flying . It's capable of flying well beyond VLOS and the transmission has been perfect and uninterrupted even in built up areas . Excellent value for money .

Nice quality drone but did not keep
I ordered the Potensic atom 2 kit as wanting something different and a kit with an inbuilt screen controller, after receiving the item an reviewing it i must say it's a very well made drone, the only thing it doesn't have and i think it should have had was obstacle avoidance, still very good quality and as for the new hand held video controller again a very nice price of kit, felt nice in the hand and well made, very nice, I had done a lot of research and after receiving i had some questions on the transmission side of things so contracted potensic for support (twice) to answer my questions, unfortunately I am still waiting for a response weeks later??, due to this unfortunate non response and not getting my questions answered so i returned the kit, as i thought if they dont reply to customers who have purchased and have querys about the product how would they be if i had a fault or needed a repair?, i i ended up buying a DJI mini 4 pro, a big shame in my opinion as I think Potensic are a contender for DJI moving forward

El nuevo sensor Sony junto con el procesado HDR mejora muchísimo las tomas en condiciones de poca luz, y el modo AI Night Shot consigue escenas nocturnas realmente nítidas para un dron tan pequeño. La nueva app es otro punto importante. Ahora es más fluida y permite acceder a funciones como QuickShots, Dolly Zoom o el disparo vertical, perfectas para contenido en redes. También incluye la función SmartTransfer, que permite pasar vídeos y fotos al móvil en segundos sin perder calidad. Uno de los apartados que menos utilizo es el seguimiento inteligente por IA. El gimbal de tres ejes aporta una estabilidad sobresaliente que se nota en cada toma. En conjunto, el ATOM 2 es un salto notable respecto al SE. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Drone for Beginners and Enthusiasts I bought the Potensic ATOM 2 Drone Fly More Combo from Amazon, and I am very satisfied with this purchase. The drone is lightweight (under 249g), so it’s easy to carry and fly without registration issues in many countries. The 3-axis gimbal works very well and provides smooth, stable video, even in slightly windy conditions. The 4K video quality is sharp and clear, and the 8K photos look amazing. The 10KM transmission range is impressive, and the connection stays strong and stable. I really like the AI Track feature—it follows the subject accurately and makes recording videos very easy. Vertical shooting is perfect for social media, and AI Night Shot performs well in low-light conditions. The Fly More Combo is a big advantage. With multiple batteries, I get up to 96 minutes of total flight time, which is more than enough for long sessions. Ottimo drone entry level
Il potensic atom 2 è stato una piacevole sorpresa. Posseggo vari droni, di vari livelli, quasi tutti di un marchio più blasonato, ma ho voluto sperimentare personalmente le qualità di questo aeromobile. Posso dire, senza dilungarmi troppo, che è un entry level di ottima qualità e che regge il confronto con i pari livello della concorrenza. La stabilità in volo è eccellente, la risposta ai comandi è fluida e la resa foto e video è di alta qualità. Ovviamente si tenga presente che non stiamo parlando di un drone di livello cinematografico, ma per la sua fascia di prezzo offre risultati top (sono comunque presenti piccoli lag e rumore nelle immagini, ma né più né meno che in tutti i droni di fascia media). Molto buone anche le funzioni automatiche, tra le quali è stata aggiunta con l'ultimo aggiornamento un'eccellente possibilità di programmare i waypoint per il volo automatico. Piacevole, divertente e affidabile durante il volo. Segnale radio stabile e batteria che mediamente garantisce circa 30 minuti di volo (secondo modalità e condizioni di utilizzo).Il radiocomando, in particolare, è veramente ben fatto e l'app è chiara e ben funzionante. Sono molto soddisfatto in rapporto al prezzo. È un drone consigliatissimo sia per chi vuole approcciarsi al volo senza spendere una fortuna, sia per i più esperti che vogliono divertirsi senza troppi pensieri, potendo comunque ottenere anche dignitosissimi risultati. Non sono presenti sensori in grado di rilevare ostacoli.

Ich habe die Potensic ATOM 2 Drohne jetzt zwei Tage intensiv getestet – bei unterschiedlichen Lichtverhältnissen, Windbedingungen und mit allen Features, die sie bietet – und ich bin ehrlich begeistert. Ich hatte vorher das Vorgängermodell Atom 1 (bzw. 4K) Diese Drohne ist eine echte Überraschung – im positiven Sinne. Positiv: ✅ Perfekt für Anfänger & Profis: Die Drohne ist super einsteigerfreundlich – auspacken, alles ist sicher verstaut in der sehr hochwertigen Tasche, Akku laden, App installieren – und los geht’s. Gleichzeitig bietet sie auch für erfahrene Piloten genug Funktionen, um richtig Spaß zu haben. ✅ Keine Registrierung notwendig: Mit unter 249 Gramm fällt die ATOM 2 in die C0-Kategorie – somit ist kein Drohnenführerschein notwendig, was gerade für Hobbyflieger ein großer Pluspunkt ist. ✅ Fliegt sich wie von selbst: Die Steuerung ist präzise, intuitiv und zuverlässig. Selbst bei leichtem Wind steht die Drohne stabil in der Luft. Hier hat Potensic wirklich einen großen Schritt nach vorne gemacht. ✅ Ernsthafte DJI-Konkurrenz im unteren Preissegment: Ich hätte es nicht gedacht, aber Potensic ist in diesem Preisbereich definitiv auf Augenhöhe mit DJI – wenn nicht sogar einen Tick voraus, wenn man das Gesamtpaket betrachtet. Neutral: ➖ Akkulaufzeit realistisch ca. 25 Min. Angegeben sind bis zu 32 Minuten Flugzeit – das erreicht man vermutlich nur bei perfekten Bedingungen ohne Wind. In meinem Test kam ich je nach Flugweise auf ca. 23–26 Minuten pro Akku, was absolut in Ordnung ist. Negativ: ⚠️ Keine Hinderniserkennung: Das ist der einzige Punkt, der vielleicht als Schwäche gesehen werden kann. Aber ganz ehrlich – in dieser Preisklasse gibt’s das bei keiner Drohne, und wenn man weiß, was man tut, ist es kein Problem. Wer auf Nummer sicher gehen will, fliegt halt etwas vorsichtiger. Fazit: Die Potensic ATOM 2 hat mich wirklich positiv überrascht. Top Verarbeitung, super Bildqualität, intelligente Flugmodi und eine tolle Fernbedienung – alles in einem Paket, welches auch erschwinglich ist. Für mich ist sie aktuell die beste Einsteigerdrohne mit Profi-Anspruch unter 500 Euro. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die nächsten Flüge – das Ding macht einfach Spaß!
