Sony 64GB MicroVault U-Series USB Flash Drive (USM64GU/B)

I have an older Sony sliding USB "vault" that I outgrew. Had it for at least 8 years I think. I was looking for something that was kept in a single unit (no separable covers) and protected the USB connection well enough. This solved it all. It also has a nice clicking retraction feature (like a retractable pen) that feels smooth and adds to the value of the unit. Shipped from Japan, but I think it was worth the wait.

The product performs as expected on my Mac computer and my Sony 4K android TV for transferring digital photos and videos. The 64GB capacity allows me to store many photos and videos and I believe that it was still cheaper to import this item to Canada from the .com than buy it at the .ca Amazon. I own several 32 GB versions of this drive as well...and both are USB3 so they have fast transfer speeds. I haven't had any trouble with the sliding protective mechanism, but then I'm not rough with them either. It's a BUY.

An excellent thumb drive and the price is right.

Works great BUT the plastic tip at the end, fell off and I can't get it to stick back even when I used a bit of glue. This needs to be addressed by the manufacturer.

Solid little USB 3.0 drive. Plus, software available for securing individual files, as needed.

Sony 64GB MicroVault U-Series USB Flash Drive...

I purchased this flash drive at a box store and tried to use the protection software, which locked up the drive and I couldn't access it. Sent it to Sony (after getting the run around at the box store and at Sony) and they replaced it. I now just use it without the protection software and it is a 'screamer'. Fastest USB drive I've ever used and I have a bunch of them. I haven't benchmarked it but it transferred a 3.6 GB file in under 3 minutes. I don't keep sensitive stuff on it since I had the original crash but that was due to a glitch in the 3rd party protection software and not the drive. I've had the replacement for more than a year with no trouble.

Works great. Light weight and bright LED access indicator.

I even called support they gave me the run arround to call the Memory support devision, then they don't operate in our country (Canada) and then told me to call the original support again, so i gave up and just bought a 128GB PNY USB 3.0 and gave up on this sony brand.

車のオーディオに接続するために購入しました。 たまに読込みエラーが出ますが、概ね使い勝手は良好かと。 ただし、使用中にオレンジのLEDが点滅するのですが、夜間の走行中、気になってチラチラ堪忍するレベルです
