They didn't fit with medium thickness wool socks. My feet couldn't move. I switched back to my almost totally worn out New Balance MW1400 boots. I planned on buying a new pair, but I think they are discontinued. I couldn't find them in a men's 9 2E. So the search started. I tried mens Nortiv 8 Armadillo, and Columbia Newton Ridge Plus. All were too tight in one way or another. I also tried Orthofeet Dakota boots, but I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I have no doubt they would have fit well if I got the right size!Last resort I purchased these boots. They fit great and they bend right out of the box. Definitely keepers. They are a bit large. I could have ordered a half size smaller, but when winter rolls around, my wool socks (I have them from medium to really heavy) fit comfortably (I can wiggle my toes!)Fwiw, I live in high desert. Spiky plants, poisonous critters, and Mesquite spikes that can go through tires. I wear boots year round. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good shoe, but laces failed after 5 months *by S***Y on April 25, 2025* have owned the boots since November 2024 and they are holding up well except for the laces. i recently had the lace snap on the right boot, then a few weeks later the left one snapped. i looked on the company's site for replacement laces, but do not see any. That is the only reason for 4 out of 5 stars. They are very comfortable, light weight and provide good arch support.
