Einkorn wheat for the win!!
So grateful to find this on Amazon!! A breeze to cook without pre-soaking. Taste delicious on their own, with a natural sweetness, nuttiness & lovely texture. First use was making a salad with fresh diced tomato, cucumber, onion, parsley, lemon & EVOO. Topped with curry chicken & feta for a flavorful, healthy meal.

great product
I recently added oat groats to my diet, so decided to try wheat berries. This ancient wheat berry is good. I am very pleased. I have ground them with an inexpensive grinder (not fine enough for making bread) but enough to cook like you would cook "cream of wheat" cereal or polenta. I have also cooked the berries as a side dish to mix with vegetables, like a rice or pilaf. I have also ground the berries to use as a pancake mix. I mixed with a small amount of chickpea flour that I use a lot in pancakes. All worked very well, so I am pleased. I have adopted a whole food-plant based diet, and certainly this ancient grain qualifies as whole food. Great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Ancient but Relevant!
I have never used wheat berries prior to this Einkorn brand. The grain is chewy, enhances a meal, and does not have a strong flavor. It was a challenge to know how to cook this product. I would like for the company to post instructions for how to cook the product...mostly for quick use and ease. Overall, this is an excellent, delicious, and nutritious product.

Incredible
As soon as I opened the package, the scent was amazing. Grinding it made the scent even more potent. Bought this to see if my gluten intolerance is just a folic acid problem from modern chemically modified wheat. Used it to make naan which was delicious. I really hope that I am able to eat this again. The protein is listed on the bag that I got and is 7g per serving. Amazing for a grain and as nature originally intended.

Wheat berries have fiber that the flour does not.
I have a grinder so I can make flour from the berries. It’s to expensive to use to make bread. Although I have made bread in the past with it and it’s delicious. I mostly use this product in recipes that call for less than a half cup such as gravies and soups. I also like the fact that it’s full of fiber after grinding where as when I purchased the einkorn flour there was no fiber. I use this in place of white flour for pretty much everything. For some reason I get itchy after eating white flour but not with flour made from einkorn berries. I’m not a scientist so I can’t explain why that is. Try it and enjoy.
