My family loves games. I use them to keep my four sons calm on long car rides or while waiting at appointments or in restaurants. This chess set is perfect for us because it fits nicely in my purse, and the magnets mean we don’t accidentally knock the board over (because we’re a clumsy lot).The board and pieces are well made, and the board folds to store the pieces inside it. And, it snaps shut so the pieces don’t go flying all over the place. We will be recommending to all our chess loving friends!

Great quality product for only $10 and convenient for travel. I purchased for my 11 year old son to take to Summer Camp with his Scout Troop to work on his Chess Merit Badge and they suggest bringing your own board. I think this is perfect. Most of the kids know how to play Chess, so I imagine it will get played during random downtime too. Magnets hold well. No pieces were missing. Case closes securely.I purchased the Small 7.6"

I bought the extra small as I wanted a little board to carry and play people with as well as to help me study book diagrams by playing them out on a 3D board. Yes, the product Is exactly as described, extra small and travel sized, which is awesome for portability. It fold up to fit in your pocket and visually everything is all good. The product's size becomes a problem however when you need to actually move the pieces with your fingers. The dimensions are so compact that in moving one piece, your fingers will inadvertently push aside the adjacent pieces. At least that's what I discovered, and it's not like have particularly large fingers or anything. I'm a normal adult. The product is fine and the magnetic pieces do their job. The board surface had some light pressure indents in it leading me to believe the surface can easily be marred and scratched if placed in pocket adjacent to hard objects like keys. It's a decent product for the price, but I don't think the extra small was really practically useful. Perhaps a pair of tweezers would be a legitimate solution to the problem I had. I recommend getting a bigger size than I did.
