Good value for a sweet little amp

I'm a somewhat novice musician using a 25-watt guitar amplifier that connects to my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) via USB for recording my playing. I needed a way to connect some studio speakers thru the DAW that do not have their own power. This small amplifier does just that.Inputs to the amp for my usage are from one of two sources: my laptop headphone jack or the RCA output jacks of my Behringer UM2 audio interface. Either method drives the speakers quite well. Speakers, BTW, are a pair salvaged from an old unused CD stereo system. So when I'm playing guitar, the output of my DAW is now being heard through the Kinter whether I'm playing through the guitar amp or the UM2. I just have to manually switch cables. The tone controls provide some impact upon output tone but I have other tone control measures at my disposal. The LED is not the least annoying to me as the amp is mostly not in my line of sight. I don't crank the volume up, mostly set at mid-range, and hear no noticeable distortion. The amp stays on most of the day waiting for me to get inspired and pick up the guitar and has not shown any signs of overheating. For now, the Kinter sits atop my guitar amp where access to controls are most convenient. At some point I'll likely find a more permanent location for mounting. Other reviews stated the unit did not last long before dying. So I'm biding my time for a while. I purchased the amp about a month ago.My purchase did arrive with a power supply and in good condition. It does not come with the required audio input cable. I purchased a 10ft RCA male 3.5mm Aux cable to connect to my laptop headphone jack. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097DQZJFQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsOverall, I'm very satisfied with the appearance and functionality of the Kinter amp. And the price ($18.99) fit my limited budget.

Works great for bookshelf speakers

I picked this up to use with my computer. I have a spare set of bookshelf speakers that I have sitting on my desk to use like studio monitors. I used a 3.5mm to RCA adapter to connect this to my laptop. The sound isn't AMAZING but it is good for the price. I had to adjust it a bit but it has Treble and Bass selections on it. I think it was more down to my speakers than the amp. I have the volume around 75% on it and then I just adjust it from my computer after that.It has mounting holes on it so you can screw it into your desk or wherever you are using it. I tried using command strips and it came off. It didn't get hot or anything I just think they don't hold the best. You might want to try the velcro command strips instead if you don't want to screw it in.The only annoyance to me is the light on the front. I keep forgetting to turn it off at night so it glows under my desk and can be seen when the room is dark. I'm not taking points off because it clearly mentions the light, its just an annoyance that you can't turn off the light seperately.Other than that it is great and I'm happy with my purchase.

neat little amplifier, seems to be quite powerful

This is a neat little amplifier, very handy for when you just need to add some small bookshelf speakers somewhere. Am I I want to say it's audio file grade no. By no means is it. It's just a basic amplifier that's easy to use volume and tone controls, a balance control on a power switch. The only thing I really didn't like about it was how short the power cord was on the power adapter, not even long enough to get off the desk to a power strip. Can also speak to the true output power however it does get quite loud. I would say at least making about 10 watts. Distortion is a little higher than expected. Also don't operate this much below four ohms it's not happy about it the Distortion increases quickly. And so far it's worked really great to power some bookshelf speakers by my computer for basic audio editing. I've been in broadcast and recording engineer for over 30 years and I've used probably a few thousand amplifiers in my life. Really good and useful amplifier for the price. Just needs a longer power cord

It's small, it's cute, and it's LOUD enough.

I don't have an eight foot wide TV on the wall, I'm not trying to fill an auditorium with sound. I have this Kinter amp, a pair of Sony speakers and a Sony DVD/CD player and a monitor. Set up on a table. I sit a few feet back from it and watch movies, or I crank up the volume to play CDs and can enjoy the music in the next three rooms over. It's not some sort of 5/1 surround system, it's old fashioned two channel stereo. It's all I want for what I need it for. Good volume, clear sound. If you grew up with huge amplifiers in wooden crates in the '70s, it's amazing how small this thing it.This one has a push button "on/off" and the volume knob has LED lights that cycle through five colors. If you might find that distracting I think the previous version of this amp with an "on/off" toggle switch and no lights is also still available - might even be a few dollars cheaper. The controls are pretty basic; on/off, volume, bass and treble. (a balance control would be nice though...)If you need to impress your friends with a home entertainment system this might be a pass for you, but if you just want to watch some movies and listen to some rock'n'roll, you can start here and put together a nice economical little package.
