I've been using tape during xfit work outs for years but the tape gets moist or starts to peel up and next thing you know it's falling off and here come the blisters. I saw a buddy using these Nubs one day during a workout and asked if they work, she said yes they work very well so I figured what the heck for $9 I'll try it. I measured my knuckle like suggested for propped fit and ordered the mediums, as expected the first time you put these on are super tight but after one or three wods they fit great. I only gave these four stars because each use does require pulling them back up your thumbs during the workout.

I`m on my third week of wearing them over tape and there`s pros and cons. I like them overall when they don`t slip off. A few times in a workout they`ve gone flying off my thumbs when the time is long, the reps are high and the sweat is flowing. They`ve also come off on a couple of lifting sessions, so in both instances that`s a bit of a distraction. I`d rather give 3.5 stars or 7 out of 10. It should be noted my palms are larger than my fingers and I can only grab the distal phalanx of my thumb, so it could have something to do with it, though all times they`ve come off its been as the bar is turning over and the hook grip opens.

I was having an issue when lifting heavier weights, using a hook grip, that my thumb would hurt like crazy. Or even get blisters or tear skin. I got a set of these for myself, and a friend, as using KT Tape every time seemed wasteful. These helped a lot, to save my thumbs. Definitely recommend.

The first several days felt uncomfortably tight, but now they slide on much easier. My thumbs don't have blisters or missing skin, which motivates me to keep coming back to CrossFit. $10 may seem like a lot for something so small, but when your membership is $165 month, missing a week of CrossFit for ripped up thumbs equates to $41. So yeah, they're worth it.
