This watch is awesome for the things it is capable to do for a runner, such as myself. I've moved on from a Samsung Watch 5(Samsung fan), to this and I have not been disappointed! I'd say it is pretty pricy, and this is my first time ever owning such a watch. I had picked this(2nd best) over Garmin's Fenix 8 (Their top watch), due to me not really wanting to pay a little extra for the extra features such as the Solar Charging or Longer battery life, because I don't mind charging my watch ever so often and I am not outside THAT much for it to make a difference. At least 2 hours at most for my training. The watch will last me a long enough (~10 to 14days) without charging and I am happy with that versus me having to charge my Samsung watch like 1.5x a day which was getting annoying. The quality of the watch is amazing, the Glass is supposed to be stronger than the Gorilla kind and the material of the bezel makes it look so premium. The charging speed is also pretty good, I don't realize how fast it charges but I know it's quick (~1hr) from 0 to 100. The sensors it has seems pretty good and capable of tracking my daily results. It is keeping me in shape. Overall I recommend for the runners or just anyone who likes to keep track of things or a good, lasting watch!

I’m not a crazy ultramarathoner, but i workout three times a week. I have health issues, and want to monitor my sleep and overall health. I want to stay in touch with work and get other alerts, but I need more than 50 minutes of battery life. ( Crap, I’m late for a meeting. And I forgot the milk. Again. ) I’ve found there are few watches for those needs, basically what most of us want. Right now your choices are a really expensive Apple Watch Ultra with terrible battery life or no smart watch features and great battery life. (Come on COROS! No calendar?! For reals?!). Garmin has owned the middle ground for a while now, but they have become increasingly expensive. The Venu 4 and Forerunner 570 are waaay too expensive at $550. The Forerunner 970 seems expensive but you get a lot - it’s essentially a plastic Fenix 8. Great battery life, lots of features, huge ecosystem, good software support. Over the past week, I’ve been to the boxing gym three times, saw dips in sleep quality during a stressful time at work, keep up with my idiot friends’ test messages, and can use the watch to alert me when I’m on call. And it still has 60% battery life. It fits my needs well. If you want a computer on your wrist - this isn’t the watch for you. If you run Ultramarathons across the artic - not for you. If it’s on sale and you are an average guy (or woman) like me, go for it. Thanks for reading!

Long, long time Garmin user- i have multiple. I am an avid runner - od course this watch works great. This is also my go-to watch for work social events that require a less bulky watch vs some of the others I own. Great watch! Screen is crystal clear. Really easy to use.

This has been a fantastic purchase! It is ready to go out of the box. It is everything I need in a fitness watch. It tracks so many metrics that help me prepare for the day and track my progress. Bukkt in Flashlight is something I didnt think I would use but its awesome.

I have used Garmin watches since the day I started running. The 970 is the best one yet. It has all the information I need and then some. It keeps track of my miles, laps, heartrate and much more. The bright screen and voice are great on a sunny day. I recommend this device for any runner.

Very accurate in workouts, sleep monitor

I was concerned about making a switch from Fitbit to Garmin and in price shock, but it has been 2 months with my 970 and I LOVE it! The options are many and I am still learning to use more each week, but I like it. I love stats. This watch provides me with LOTS of stats and tracking from health to fitness for me. The battery life is a what caught my eye on this model, but the stats are beyond what I imagined. Garmin has challenges available. Each month I have been joining quite a few of thier challenges and that is very motivating for me. If you are on the fence about purchasing this, I truly don't think you will be disappointed once you pull the plug. This will last me for years to come.

I selected the new version of this product, but I’m not completely convinced the unit I received was actually new. During setup it defaulted to Greek instead of a U.S. configuration, which made me question whether it had been previously opened or used. I also noticed a small dent on the case right out of the box. The device works, but these details affected my confidence in its condition.

Microphone and speaker are basically useless the calls work ok sometimes otherwise the voice assistant feature is useless and will crash the watch. So if that’s the only upgrade you’re interested in then just get an Apple Watch. The other aspects are so awesome though. Hopefully the voice assistant and stuff gets fixed
