I purchased it a few months ago. I got new strings for it though and the sound improved immensely. On youtube "the online piano tutor"(she does violin too) has a really good review on it. :-) **Q: Is this a Stentor II?** A: It is a Stentor II. Google it and you will see it is the same. My son is using this for his first year in orchestra at school and it sounds good with decent craftsmanship. **Q: Does this come with the case?** A: Yes - it comes with a case, a bow, and some rosin. **Q: What all comes with this violin outfit?** A: This violin comes with a bow, case, and a piece of rosin. The bow and rosin are of decent quality, but if you want really good sound, you will probably want to buy new ones.
