Some of her best work
This is one of Minaj's best works to date, and the title and the work included do indeed affirm her status in the world of rap. A hip hop album with R&B, pop, and reggae influences, Minaj incorporates classic rap with personal ballads. One of my personal reservations of the work is that it feels more like a mixtape than an album in terms of cohesiveness, a trend that has been present for every album except her first one. There are a handful of filler tracks and the work lacks vision other than to flex in her competition, but seeing as Minaj has repeatedly stated that she finished the album the day of the drop, this doesn't surprise me. I would love to see her get more personal with her content and fully plot and plan out for her next work, but this is a satisfying salve for her fans that last received an album in 2014. 8/10
